it will have to be the big dogs, the little law dogs we got in this town wouldn't arrest one if the turned theirselves in. that is why there are so many drugs here and why our kids are dropping like flies. it makes me sick to my stomach why can't our cops be honest and do their jobs??????

I have heard one name repeated over and over in this county that is "supposedly" a very big dealer. This talk has been going on for years. The same with pharmacist E. Baker. Talk years ago of how he sold and gave drugs to young women. Why did it take them until he became an old man to finally arrest him? Was it because he was a member of "the country club" and an "upstanding man in the community"?? Then when he went to jail some people were so proud that they arrested him and got him off the streets. HA. I knew a girl that was working for him 15 years ago and she told me that was going on then. If it takes you years and years to prove, then why even bother. Where there is smoke, there is fire, at least that is what I have learned in life. Wake up Montgomery County before someone you know and love becomes an obituary in the Advocate!!

We just held an anti-drug dealing rally! It went really well!!!! The way I see it drug dealers have 3 options: 1) stop dealing drugs 2) leave town 3)get locked up! Next time we will be holding a rally on the courthouse lawn! We get license plate numbers, pictures, etc. anything we can to help out our hard working police department! I love our police department and am proud to live in Mt.Sterling! Our police department is great, there is just a lot of things they can't publish in the paper, for many reasons. Don't ever speak badly of our police, we have to help them help this community. We made some huge steps on Sunday with the rally! Everyone pledged to report and get others involved! District Judge Willie Roberts made a statement and pledged to hold drug dealers accountable to the fullest extent of the law. We got this, dealers go on and bow down to the good people of Mt.Sterling, your time on the streets is up!

Jenna Huff i applaud you for your stand against drugs. I am a retired Senior citizen that like you hates the drug world. i will keep my eyes open for any transaction that i mite see and report it to the authorities. it was good to hear that Willie Roberts the candidate for Judge was at the rally and pledged his support. i like Keen Jonson. but Mr Roberts may get my vote and support for his stand against drugs. in my opinion your way is the way to slow down the drug traffic. so you folks that is making or supporting those Fla trips be ware some one is watching. don't be surprised when their is a knock on your door in the early morning hours by an officer with handcuffs and a warrant.

Thanks for the appreciation. We need everyone to report. As for the politics involved (as it is in everything), I don't know much about Willie Roberts, so do more research. Willie Roberts did come and he made a statement about how he will be TOUGH ON DRUG DEALERS, that is all I know and can vouche for! Whether that is true or not, we can't be certain, as we can't be certain with any politician. I spoke with Keen Johnson about The Campaign one day in Kroger and the rally was in the local paper. Mr. Johnson may have several reasons for not coming, I know he has done alot of work, here in town to help addicts. The Campaign is a different angle, though, an angry angle. We are mad at drug dealers and will take every legal route to hold them accountable. We can't base our votes on a first rally, because we don't know the circumstances of Mr.Johnson's day and why he couldn't make it. The point of The Campaign is not to support one candidate over another, it is to unify our community across all differences so we can all tackle the issue of drug dealers. It is true we have all made a pledge to NOT ELECT anyone who won't hold drug dealers accountable to the fullest extent of the law, whether they are our neighbor or best friend. This is true. All we can do is look at someone's track record and see how they acutally handle the cases in real life, not whether they come to a rally or don't come to a rally. That being said, it is very important that all officials try to come to the rallies, because it creates community cohesion and demonstrates their support for the cause, whether it is actual support or not we can only tell when they are on the bench making judgement calls in line with full accountability under the law. Having met Willie Roberts, I do like him. I also like Keen Johnson, my vote will depend on further investigation on their previous judgements on cases. I hope that is on what all votes will depend. Thanks for your support!

Come to a meeting! Keep an eye out for our meetings in the paper or visit our website to see all events.

I am supporting Keen Johnson, if you must know! I have spoken with him on several occassions and he has SHOWN that he will be tough on dealers! I liked Willie Roberts, he seemed like a nice person and he made a statement in support of The Campaign but the track records must have final authority and Keen Johnson's record backs him up. Keen Johnson works very hard to get these guys behind bars and its true he wasn't at the rally, but sometimes showing your support isn't as good as working for the cause. KEEN JOHNSON ALL THE WAY!

I am also supporting JEFF MOORE! Richard Henderson has been given too many chances to show us that he wants to do NOTHING about this issue. JEFF MOORE is passionate about this issue and will use his Christian values to guide his policy decisions. JEFF MOORE may not be as well known as Richard Henderson, but lets really think about it. Is Richard Henderson known for any great pieces of legislation that helped this district? NO! Is Richard Henderson known for speaking out against drug dealing and working hard to change the laws so drug dealers get more penalties? NO! All I have heard from Richard Henderson, lately is that he stated in the advocate that some illegal activities that make money in Ky are okay. That isn't his exact quote but it is close and can be found in the Mt.Sterling Advocate. I'm VOTING FOR JEFF MOORE FOR STATE REP.
People need to wake and up see that just because Richard Henderson is your neighbor, friend or high school buddy, his interests in Frankfort lie in taking pictures with basketball coaches and NOT in changing and creating laws to help the constiuents that gave him the seat he holds. You can't just get up and say you're against drug dealers, your track record has to back it up. Henderson has been given many years to create a track record for himself on this issue and he hasn't so lets give someone else a chance. If MOORE doesn't do the job we want we'll just elect the next one until we have someone in office that is doing the job they get paid to do!

I also support ERIC JONES FOR JAILER! Mr.Myers has had too long to prove that he doesn't want to get the drugs out of the jail. Its time to give the job to someone else and let them prove what they can do! Eric was at the rally and everyone questioned him about what he was going to do! He said he was going to be tough, if someone is bringing in drugs "they will be fired" even if it was his best friend! Let's give him a chance to prove it by making him jailer. If he don't do it, lets just get another one in. That's how this country was set up to work. People died for this right of voting so many take for granted. Our fore-fathers believed in the power of voting enough to fight and die for it. They knew that lots of people making educated votes could change things for the better. We can't keeping electing people that have done NOTHING and expect a new result! Dewayne Myers has proven what he can do as jailer, NOTHING!

I feel the same way. Not to mention this person flip flops back and forth and goes under several names and persona's on topix of all places to start "the crusade". Is the real motive here to rid Mt.Sterling of drugs and dealers or is the REAL MOTIVE here all the attention this person gets from it? I have been following her posts back to when she called herself redwhiteandblue and summalove and babygirl1986 lets not forget rattinsterlin..... Sounds like a joke to me!!!

We will never get the drug issue solved if we keep electing people that don't want to address the issue. The only way to change legislation is to vote for people who want to address the issues this district has with drugs. Therefore, this cause is directly linked to politics. If you don't think that seems right, then you can continue to vote for people who don't care whether this town has a drug problem or not and we can see how many more people die because no one wants to be political about something that is inherently political.

You're apparently an idiot as politics are directly linked to ridding this town of drug dealers, if the same folks get in- guess what? the same things will happen. If its bad, change it! Didn't you take social studies in school?

I replied to the post you claim to feel the same as, therefore I won't repeat myself. As for multiple aliases, I have always been Jenna Huff. I'm proud of who I am. Anyone not taking a stand for this community should be ashamed. If you don't believe in the cause I guess you have chosen your side. As for MY REAL MOTIVE, its very clear, to get drug dealers locked up. Part of that is voting for people who want to address the drug issue. I WON'T vote for anyone who has proven unworthy at tackling the issue. If you want to, that is your right, but more of same will result in more deaths, period. If you think holding drug dealers accountable is a joke, well I guess you're on the wrong side of the law. I take this cause very seriously. Seriously enough to spend actually investigating track records on candidates and not just voting because I like their personality or their "good ole boy charm." There are many people supporting this cause and pledging their action to report drug dealers. You saying this group is a joke is a direct and personal offense to me and the people involved and all the work we have done. The Campaign is not about supporting specific candidates, these are my personal opinions and if you will read all the posts, MY PERSONAL VOTE this November or what someone thought was going to be my vote was put in the limelight (Check out SCR's post). That being said, my personal vote is soley based on the drug issue and who will tackle it best.

Well, I sure am against Richard Henderson because I know him well, and I am fully aware that he supports drug dealing because he uses illegal drugs and he is also a big drunk! Anyone who would vote for him is either with him in his unscrupulous activities or just plain blind! I'd like to say too that he did not win Montgomery Co. in May, Davis did> he will not win in November either! He is for illegal activities like cockfighting and drug dealing, he is what my little grandaughter would call skank! You can put a suit on a man but you can't put class and morals on him and Richard Henderson may have a suit but he certainly does not have class or morals.
