Latrobe Steel, striking union to resume talks

IT is now a LOCKOUT

It says 14 day walkout.... not lockout.

Dont care what it says there when the company refused the offer roe us to go back then it became a LOCKOUT which buy the way was refused more than once

Guess the state will decide if indeed it is a lockout. I hope for al of you they say it is. And good luck to you all. Hope your able to get back to work soon.

The Latrobe steel workers were not turning down a $16,000.00 bonus they were losing cost of living increases and the cost of health insurance was increasing to more than double what they already pay for there health insurance with no hourly raise. They would have lost money! as they already did over a lame 6 year contract Don't be so naive as to believe what a large corporate business allows to be placed in media and newspapers. Anyone who judges without knowing the facts is THE REAL LOSER!

Let's all be realistic here, OK? Unions are for people who have neither the talent, ambition, or skills to get a better job, so they band together under the some big union chief in order to bully the company into giving them things that they couldn't possibly get with their limited skill set.

Now, having said that, according to the union goons, it's always OK for the union to intimidate, coerce, and threaten other workers into the 'groupthink' of the union. However, it's ALWAYS bad for the company to get tired of the union's bullshit and try and conduct business. How can that possibly make sense?

Every time I read the above union loser posting about his 'union brothers and sisters', it reminds me of Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson whining about another group that wants to be hand-fed from cradle to grave.
