I think if the framers of the Constitution saw this type of thing they might have been more specific about "cruel and unusual punishment", and maybe add in "let the punishment fit the crime". In this case, years of doctors keeping him alive through torture and everyone in the world getting an opportunity to get some personal "repayment" of his debt to society seems fair.

Death is too good for him . He needs some long slow torture to near death , nurse him back to health, then torture him some more .This is not an original idea , it is done for those on death row . The states will do whatever to save an inmates life so that an excution can be carried out .
