While yes, this man is a little foolish, I'm so glad that there were good people around to help out. Even though he did a silly thing, he doesn't deserve to lose that money and I'm happy for him that it mostly ended well. Those people should be proud of themselves.

Could you imagine this taking place in, lets say "Compton". White, black, brown or purple, this man would not have gotten 96% of his money back, he would have gotten $96. Moral of the story should be, "Torrance, a great place to bank, if you like your money". Anyway, great story. And for you ice cream lovers, Mint Chip is the one and only.

Great feel good story. Please continue to focus on good things that also happen in our neighborhood.
For a long time I quit reading the Daily Breeze because it was nothing but depressing and scary stories. I hated it. Now I read the good stories and I love some of the comments!!!

The DB needs to look around and they will find stories like this to print everyday. I refuse to beleive that the South Bay is as bad as the negative news we are constantly bombarded with.
