I'm sure their refinery was around before you stepped on to the planet, your daily deposits in the toilet go to their treatment plant and you utilize LAX from time to time. Typical NIMBY nibus-brained fool you are anyway. I'm glad your not up here on the hill. Wow, plastic bag litter! Why don't you go float another school bond since you folks do such a good job with that type of scam. No thanks Dude Fred -our realtors are doing well here and no one confuses ES for MB. All they have to do is follow the smell on your "hill" and toilet treatment plant! yeah right, we are "jealous" of that! We like it here and like you having your city as a target for all the airliners and fuel drop areas. Since you dont like MB stay in your "quaint" city - and LAX is in LA Fred - NOT El Segundo! And just FYI - the schools are separate from the city council - they have thier own elected officials. So if you want to rag on them, make it a different email.

In Ireland, the countryside was littered by plastic bags. As a result, they banned plastic bags at checkout. The countryside is no longer littered with plastic bags. Going into the grocery store, having to pay 2 Euros for a thicker plastic bags, makes everyone cut down on plastic bag use. Everyone carries "Green Bags"...and you know what...unpacking your groceries is easier...less is better. I cannot stand coming home from the grocery store and ending up with 10 bags...yuck. I'm all for reusables...not paper!

Dispose of them (oh, horrors, litter the landscape again???)or wash them regularly (waste water and detergent?) One other consequence for sure: it will facilitate shoplifting (with costs passed on to consumers). Besides, people who have been using plastic bags for picking up pets' poop and disposing of dirty diapers will now buy Hefty bags. So what a wonderful world you're creating. I'll be sure to hold my nose if I ever have to pass through your city - it's going to be awfully smelly. You can wash those, you know.

Well ive been told that for about 100 different things. Thats about 200 extra dollars I dont got!

Banning plastic bags is irresponsible without plans for a reasonable replacement. I care for an invalid, and purchase large amounts of heavy supplies and groceries in MB stores. I am not interested in hauling around a stack of canvas bags. If the ban takes place, I will be forced to shop in neighboring communities.

Have you tried the canves bags? their great, ya it takes some getting used to. Many times I'm in the store and relize I didn't grab the bags. But they hold much more, I can put 3 times as much in the reusable bags, the handles don't break, how many time do the plastic handles break when carring the bags to and from the car. Give it a chance, you might like them.
