This sounds like a repeat of last winter when the kids were home from school for "rain" days instead of snow days. If the kids are going to be home, how about 6 inches of snow so we can go sledding.

The trucks were out salting the roads yesterday morning, more than a day ahead of the storm. The cars pick up the salt and wear it off of the streets. Are they just trying to waste this stuff???

It appears top be the same mentality that infects city management when I ask them why they are out in my neighborhood with a leaf vacuum when there are no leaves in sight on the ground but are all still in the trees. Their answer: "We're trying to get ahead of things..." DUH!!!

Do you think that if the egg producers, milk producers, or bread companies had excess inventory, they would bribe a weather reporter into making forecasts like these?

I'm just sayin'....

Odd... I can't remember this much hype in the 1970's when we used to get REAL snowfalls, and schools did not let out until we had at LEAST 3" on the ground.

Maybe this kind of weather will bring back the bomb shelters of the 1950's.

The media over-hypes the weather and causes people to panic. I do have to agree, though, that the area DOES have a LOT of cry-babies, but they aren't the hillbillies. The vast majority of the local cry-babies aren't even from this area!

Hey, back off of Kathy Crane. I've met her on several occasions and she is a very sweet woman. She genuinely cares about the Lehigh Valley.

The others you can have a field day with, just back off of Kathy.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Gemini

Punctuality isn't The Twins' strong suit as you are easily side- tracked, but it is important if you want to be taken seriously. You might even want to show up early if you really want to impress! The stars are about to hand you an opportunity that it would be foolish to ignore.
