slumlord of mt holly

i moved here in march 2007, moved into an apartment owned by scott farmer. this landlord does nothin for his tenants except collect rent!
how can i get this landlord to fix the heat, fix the bug problem, and the plumbing issues? thank you for your suggestions.

Go to small claims court.

We have three wel known slum lords in Mount Holly and it is sad that the city of Mount Holly actaully encourages these types of people in our city.

call code enforcement,they will come and inspect property and write up any violations and the home owner has i think 30 days to fix problems or start getting fined

You might could contact the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Farmer does hold a NC Real Estate Broker's license and I would think the Commission would frown upon him for being a bad landlord.

If I may ask who are the other two slumlords in Mount Holly?

Yates Springs, and Richard Welch would be my guess.

Fill us in on anything that has changed for you since you posted about the tribulations with your landlord Scott Farmer. Has it improved any? Did you move from there? We are interested...

i would not want my dog to live in some of these rental houses i have seen in mh.the city turns a blind eye to these houses and the people who own them.remarkable!!!!

So, pray tell, how are you helping those people, who probably are thankful they have a roof over their head?
