I got a jury duty summons and I was wondering if in Gaston County they have you fill out a questionnaire when you get to the courthouse and if so what's some of the questions?
I don't mind jury duty so I am not trying to get out of it but this would be my first time...
Also what's suggested to take while I wait? Is food allowed while you wait? What about knitting?

Take a book or newspaper because it is very boring.

No, no questionnaire to fill out. Just need your id. Pot is right. Take a book, a long book. Not sure if the deputies will let you take your knitting supplies in.

I just had to spend two days during a jury selection. We all had to fill out a 14 page questionnaire. Some of the questions were odd, like what does my husband and son do for living and where do they work? What is your opinion of doctors, lawyers and the police? What clubs or groups do you belong to? I suggest taking something to do while you are there. The waiting is LONG. One juror said next time she was bringing a deck of cards. Some jurors brought nature bars to snack on. This was my first time. I was smart enough to bring a bottle of water with me.

I have always spent at least 2 days---only once did I spend a week-then because it was a capitol offence case. And of course, maybe they looked at you and thought you wasn't too bright and gave the question aire to you to see if you could comperhend what was going on in a trial.
