I'm not sure. I had just talked to Jas the other day and he seemed to be heading in the right direction. I wish I could tell you about Mike but I'm not sure where hes going to school. Glad to see Marquis Sanders having a solid year for Gardner-Webb as well.

I'll say EG 38-13.

Congrats EG. You guys played who was on your schedule well. Had a tough non-conference schedule but fared decent and won the games you should have won in the conference and your going to the playoffs. Its an awsome feeling dont take it for granted. There is never a guarantee you will ever be back. Finish out the regular season solid. Seeding can change with this last game so another win couldn't hurt. Keep it up and stay healthy.

Defense was a little shaky, but the 1st team offense and special teams were almost perfect. We could have scored 60 or 70, if Coach Tippett hadn't have called the dogs off in the 4th qtr.

EG should win easily next week. Maybe we can get an upset or two in the playoffs. 6 wins is a very good turnaround season, 7 or 8 would be outstanding!

Seems to be constant here lately solid offense and special teams but defense is suspect. Hopefully EG can get a decent draw and not face a passing team in the 1st round. But a win next week while not necessary sure would be nice.

I'm realistic about the game this week. It would be a huge upset for EG to pull this one off, but you never know. We would need to play well in all three phases of the game. If we "do" win this week, we wouldn't actually get a better draw next week. Win or lose, EG has had a good season, one more win or two would be a great season!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Sounds like you know everything except the game of football. Its called hard work and good things happen. You must have played in the band. It must eat you up to know inside. No wonder EG can't keep a good coach. Who would want to be under a magnifying glass all the time. You don't see belmont on topix. Blasting coaches for a loss or poor play calling. Maybe if you guys would get behind the coaches and stop thinking that you have all the answers. Ya'll could have winning seasons every year.

Did I say anything about our coaches? no. I think they and the team have had a great year and have said so many times on here this season. No, I wasn't in the band and have probably forgotten more about HS football than you know.

I heard a player lost a finger last week. Did he lose it in the game? Is he OK?

Wow if anyone has supported the EG football program for the time I've been involved its EGFAN. Over numerous message boards EGFAN has supported the Warriors from at least 2004. I was very happy to have constructive criticism of the team from them. Everything that EGFAN has said has been accurate for the last few years and has been much more informative than many other posters including myself in some cases. Im glad EG has such a great supporter and EGFAN I know you know your football and encourage you to continue posting and spreading the word about the positive as well as the negative about the EG program. Thanks for the kind words. Let me say it again, I am very proud of Coach Tippett, his staff and our players!

Well said Carson... EGFAN is one of East Gaston football's biggest fans and has been since their existence from when the school opened in 1972. I want to say that I too am proud of Coach Tippett, what his staff has done and the players heart and desire that they've shown this season. Lets go out there on Friday night and DO IT!!
