P.valley you prob knew my dad, hes been dead 2 years going on 3 in Dec.He lived just down the road from Linda. I went to Clinch School and Lonesome Pine school also. We had such fun at the old Lonesome Pine, Alma Davis was 1 of the best teachers not very few liked her but I did.All she asked you to do was show respect and do your work , Miss Ann Lawson was a sweet and devoted teacher . After she was in a wreck she never returned to school. So many memories from Overhome , I like to sit and think of all the people and the many times I have spent in their homes.

Justice_4_All ? was your mothers first name Theresa ? If so I have played many a day with her and the rest of her brothers and sisters.

Overhome....you don't have any annuals from Clinch do you? That my mom would've been in? I went to the library in Rogersville & copied off years 70-75.

I asked someone from the school to find out what years they had there & I never heard anything from them.

I was gonna post the annual pages that I have on here, but I didn't know if anyone would get upset. You know how a lot of us want to keep our childhood pictures hidden...lol

I would say that is around Toms age.his mom is my mom's sister.......One day we will have to pick each others brains to see who all we do know......lol

Justice_4_All sorry sweetie but before I got married our home burned, and I don't have any of my old school annuals left but for the year I graduated . Yup my dad lived in the trailer on the left . He came to live with me just before he passed. He was best friends with Linda,as a teenager I think I spent as much time with my cousins the Lawsons than I spent at home. LOL we use to sing, all the Lawsons had a beautiful voice myself cannot carry a tune but always tried.LOl not sure why but we always started to sing just before bedtime, your grandpa Lawson would yell time for bed be quiet .

I swear..I can hear my papaw saying that right now!! lol Remember how he used to blow all the time & act like everything was just killing him..kids especially! lol I miss him though. Just don't seem right walking in & not seeing him sitting there in his recliner.

Yeah, the Lawson's can sing. I always loved to hear Johnny sing.

Hi, I was reading all these and came to yours my Mom was raised on the river at Kyles Ford and she is a Roger's mmmmmmmm maybe you are my cousin, you think.I have heard her talk about Elmer Wallens store.

Is that beer store still in business on past Kyles Ford just before you get to the Virginia state line? It just always seemed out of place out in the middle of no where.

I'm not for sure where the exact location is, but I do know that it's gonna be on down Clinch Vly. from where the school is now.

It won't be on the Eidson mail route anymore, it'll go to a Sneedville route.

NO, it's not there anymore. Rick Kinsler has a beer store just on the left as you past the old Baker's Store, going towards Sneedville.

Yeah I remember Ricks beer store. And Bakers store on the right with the beauty shop in the back of it.
