Storm leaves schools in several counties closed, without power

Residents across Maryland continue this morning to clean up debris left behind from yesterday's storms that uprooted trees, damaged homes and left tens of thousands of people without power.

we got alot of damage out here in Brooklyn md as well. My gazebo is totally destroyed anlong with other outdoor objects

i WAS RIDING #14 BUS TO ANNAPOLIS THIS MORNING FOR WORK. rITCHIE hWY IN THE pASADENA AND sEVERN PARK AREAS ARE STILL OUT OF ELECTRICITY. mY APARTMENT BLDG IN gLEN BURNIE LOST SOME ELECTRICITY AS WELL. iT TOOK ME 2 HOURS TO GET HOME TO GLEN BURNIE FROM aNNAPOLIS LAST NIGHT ON THE BUS.

"Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. reported this morning that 44,122 customers were without power, most of them -- 19,332 -- in Anne Arundel County."

I guess the Sun's editor that knew math left in the last round of buy-outs.'Most' of 44,122 is at least 22,062, so most of the affected are not in Anne Arundel County.

Unless each of the other counties that BGE serves had less than 19,332 people without power than most were in Anne Arundel.
