What has happened to the only potato chip that I have ever loved?! I do try to eat healthy foods, and consider Mr. Bee (only Mr. Bee!) potato chips a special treat. Imagine my surprise when I opened a bag of my beloved Mr. Bee chips and found that they taste nothing like the chips I have eaten all of my life. I call for a boycott of these imposters and implore Mr. Bee to restore the taste we have all known and loved. I know that the Mr. Bee company has had serious negative response, and frankly I am surprised at Mr. Klein's seeming lack of regard for the preferences of his customers. I for one do not like the new chips, and I won't be buying them. Ever.

Jim,
Did they say when they will be returning the original taste of the mister bee's. My husband loves their original mister bee and now he hates them , because he says that taste like Lays and he hates Lays chips.

I have heard that the maker will be returning to the "original" recipe as soon as current stock of the "new" chips has been depleted, i.e., sold out.

That being said, and with all due respect to the opinions expressed here and elsewhere, we really should give a shout out to the company for making an attempt to give us consumers a product that is more in keeping with current sensibilities of concern over health. Maybe the chips weren't to everyone's palate (I admit that they did taste quite different), but let's applaud the company, if for no other reason, for being responsive to the marketplace.

We LOVED being the past tense, Mr. Bee potato chips.
Whenever I return home to see my family in Ohio it's
Bring us some of those chips. Not anymore. What has happened to the flavor of these chips. We waited about a month after our last bbq and sourcream and
onion disappointment thinking that they were bad
batches. Unfortunately, yesterday sept. 2, I purchased
plain, bbq and sour cream and onion. The bbq were
awful and the sourcream and onion had NOTHING on them.
They smelled awful and their was no seasoning on them at all. These were the only chips that my family liked so we are very sad about the whole chip
situation. Will they ever get any better? I hate
to buy them and throw them away. Grafton WV

Purchased a bag of Mister Bee out of vending machine where I work. It made me very happy when I ate my first chip and it tasted like the chip I knew from my childhood. So glad Mr. Bee is back to the best tasting chip in the United States.

How pathetic am I that whenever I can, I have friends and family in Marietta Ohio, send me huge boxes full of Mister Bee chips!!! I craved them with my last pregnancy! And also the Ski pop. I now live in Texas, and still get a special care package about once a month!!! I can't live without them... that was until they changed their formula trying to be more "lowfat." Well tomorrow, they go back to the original flavor! WTG Mister Bee, BOUT TIME!

Please note that Mister Bee chips were NOT trying to be "lowfat." Rather, the company was, commendably, trying to make their product more in line with no trans fat products. This is an issue that goes far beyond the ever-expanding waistlines of Americans, in general, and West Virginians, those proud folks in the wild and wonderful land of the company's home territory.

I reiterate my support of the direction taken by Mister Bee, and I trust that, at some point in the future, they will, through the wonders of modern science, be able to provide the "original" taste in products that are less compromising to the health of those of us who enjoy them, wherever we may be.

I am so happy to hear that the original taste has/will return. I, too, have been uprooted but I travel back to Parkersburg just to get the chips and every time they travel I have friends bring me bags of my favorite chips in the world - Mr. Bee's!!! I cannot wait as I have a coworker going there soon and will be visiting the website to see if I can order them myself! Thank you for listening to your devoted munchers!

Just popped back to P-burg for a short visit with my folks. So glad you went back to the original recipe. Bought 4 large bags to bring back to NC. There is absolutely nowhere else in the entire universe where you can get that taste. Definitely "200 miles fresher." By the way, is there anywhere to get the words to that old advertising tune. I've been singing parts of it to my kids for nearly 30 years. "Mr. Bee's got it in the bag. 200 miles fresher, we have to brag...."
