s;ince when does the chouteau police have the authority to stop people on a county road... the old highway 33 east. the city limits sign is before the tavern which is open on sun. and I think the city limits ends at the trailer park . that also means the hiway is still county or state.. I think the city council needs to address this issue.

i think the cops have jurisdiction to stop you a mile outside of city limits is what i was told

all the backwater dirt towns are told by their bosses to write tickets to gain revenue. their taxes wont pay enough for their wages, which isn't very much & they are doing this ticket thing to get their raise.

Got pulled over by deputy, for not turning my signal on 150'to road, I did about 120'. Then got me out of car search my pockets.told me to stand there so I did, said i was nervous said im always nervous when it comes to lawmen.So i made a mistake pf putting my hands in my pockets. Told me not to. Not realizing I did it again, I was just trying my best to relax.I have ADD so bad I draw social security. Then trying to relax a couple minutes later while there running my name, my hands get close to my pokets deputy get behind me and tackles me.then they point tazer at me luckly not shooting me with it. Then after harrassing me more by searching my car they told me I was free to go. People this is on going problem with local Goverment, WE HAVE TO TAKE A STAND!! I tried to complain but just get run around. Our Sheriff should be held responible. Anytime u can sue Okmulgee do so.This is one reason Okmulgee has bad reputation.
