I'm sure there are many GordOn Terry stories and I have mine. In 1956 I met him at the Chenango County Fair, Norwich, N.Y. where he was playing fiddle for Faron Youngs Country Deputies. Following the afternoon stage show He asked me if I would hang around and walk around the midway with him. What a treat for a small time picker and singer. The thing I remember most was when we passed a stand where you could pay your fee and throw 3 baseballs at 78 RPM records. If you broke some, you would receive a prize. At that time Gordon was on the Cadence Record label. He stopped and leaned over the counter and asked to operator if he had any of his records. The man behind the counter not knowing Gordon remarked "Are you a wise guy!!" He was very nice to me that day and I have enjoyed his talents over the years. He will be missed.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Scorpio

Self-worship is easy and obvious, today. The real prize is when you turn from the mirror to see that others think just as highly of you. Take in all this love and amazement, and store some away for lean times in the future. Someone may give you an unexpected compliment later in the day, but don't let them know that it caught you off guard. After all, you still have your reputation as an egomaniac to uphold!
