Will they finally fire his a**? Or will he remain a blight on City Hall?

First there was Jesus, then Elvis, along came Madonna. Now Andre!

Andre Kaufman needs to go. You may think he is working for you, but he's working for himself. Once fixing your road does not align with his goals, he will dump you like yesterday's grits.
He is infamous for whipping the internal atmosphere inside City Hall into something toxic and poisonous, and doesn't care about things like, say, budgets or laws. Is this doing the business of the City? But then you re-elected Connie, so you might just deserve what you get. |
Give him a 30% raise. He deserves one.
He hasn't deserved anything he's gotten since the conviction. |
Had to deal with him once or twice. Screamed and yelled for no apparent reason. I think he just needs a hug. Come on Andre. Who hurt you baby? It's OK to tell.

He is da man!!!!!!!!!!
He is NOT da man. He is an idiot. The only thing he cares about is his own damn self. Open your eyes for a damn change.
My eyes have seen the productivity and results that our public works department has aceived under his direction. He is strong minded and opinionated. So what. He takes care of his employees and gets the job done. Argue with that. |
I'm not talking about the stuff he's supposed to do. He is an effective PWD. I'm talking about the stuff he's not supposed to do, like try to get money to set up a hurricane command center despite the fact that he is neither part of civil defense nor authorized to set up such a center. Anyone can do the job he does AND not be a toxic jerk AND not try to scam the city. Point argued. |
Please explain the scam and the hurricane command center. I can tell you he has the most experience of any city employee when it comes to hurricane preparation and disaster recovery. I am suspect of where your info comes from.

Andre needs to level out Catherine Drive so water doesn't continually stand in the road. It needs to be repaved so it will run off to the drain at the end of the street like it is suppose to do. Come on Andre, we are tired of standing in water to get our mail.
The command center was stuff he was gonna buy and try to get reimbursed by FEMA, against all city rules and policy. He was going to circumvent acquisition rules. Doesn't matter what you think, I know what's right. |
Keep Andre there, you will be standing in something else entirely. |
If he has done something illegal, you should notify the authorities. Fema has inspectors that can investigate fraud and illegal activity. If not, STFU.
You certainly are a charmer with language like that. You certainly sound educated. It was. Lots of corruption on the MS gulf coast though. A foiled plan is not up on their radar (and kudos to those who stopped it from happening.) It doesn't matter what you or I believe in the long run. You're there and you'll have to deal with him. Good luck. Dude, it doesn't matter what you think. You're there and stuck wi |
I'm sure he will get right on it... |
Maybe you need to learn to read, instead of swear in a cute "won't get me kicked off a forum" way. He tried and he was stopped. The ones who stopped him paid dearly. |
Truthyness did hear something like this but forgot all the details. Who stopped him and how did they pay?
Truthyness does remember something about a lot of generators FEMA paid for and which ended up in the hands of city employees. No, not for work purposes. TITCR. (Truthyness loves acronyms). |
Sorry Truthy -- you're spreading rumors again! FEMA never paid for generators for city workers personal use. A gift from a city in New Jersey of tools, generators and supplies were given to public safety officers first, then public works, and then to remaining city employees. Also one of the churches distributed small generators to some city workers who lost their homes as part of their relief effort.
