Judged: 1 1 I am sick to death of people like you defending them by turning us into hate mongers and racist and bigots. Please do me a favor and go live with them. I am white anglo saxon and have 4 black grandchildren and 2 Korean grandchildren. I don't think I need to say more. |

Judged: 1 1 You get it girl, only the ignorant don't. The immigrants that came here the right way are angrier then the natural born citizens because otherwise they would be counted as stupid for doing it the right way. I know I have spanish friends that are really mad. It took my family years and a lot of money to come into the United States from Germany many years ago. They learned English and got wonderful jobs which most of the Mexican's will never do and they will use our system to live their lives and who pays for it, us that's who. |

This is what I have been sending to all the politicians that really get to me.
I am a 65 year old born in America white woman of German, Irish, English and proud to say American Indian heritage. I also want you to know I have 4 black grandchildren and 2 Korean grandchildren and love every hair on their heads. My question is, why are you giving in to these aliens when they are "illegal"? I know that it took my family years and they did not get anything for free like the Mexican's demand. They want to become citizens yesterday with all the trappings. I've been to Spain and I loved the people there as I do with every country in the world that I have traveled, I have friends from every culture but they don't act like the Mexican's do. I can't stand what I hear about the Mexican government, why are these people protesting here in our country, they should be out screaming like hell in Mexico, not here. How dare they.... Recently a minutemen woman told Gov Schwarzengger that we were being invaded and he was rude to her for telling him the truth. We are being invaded, haven't you been listening? You better start, now would you like to know why we American's don't like what is going on? I live in a lovely area, just 2 miles away from little Tijuana, once it was Canoga Park and also Woodlnad Hills, and I can't believe what they have done to it, where have those nice towns gone. Now they are filled with graffiti and loaded with gangs. I just aread in the news that 20 people to a house are now living in beautiful areas of Agoura Hills, one of the best areas in Southern CA. They should lynch the landlords. How can this go on and you defenders of these people want us to put up with this. I listen to the news, read the newspaper and watch TV and all I hear are terrible stories about people killing in horrific ways and guess what? Nine out of 10 times they are Spanish surnames. I am finding it more and more difficult to watch TV because chanel 10, 14,17, 18, 20, 22,23,24 are either Spanish or Korean. Tell me again; what country do I live in, because I forgot with all the Spanish that is spoken her to please the Mexican's. They are showing discrimination to other foreign speaking countries. I don't see German, Italian, and French anywhere. What do we want out of this you say? Take care of our American poor, homeless, disabled, senior citizens first because they aren't being taken care of the way they should be and after all, we are the ones that pay our taxes from our hard earned money and not to be given to someone from another country no matter where they come from. So, do you think I am prejudice and racist? You bettcha! |

Judged: 1 1 Help us out Steve...What is your primary language and where did you receive your education? If you were educated in the U.S., I sure hope your school’s English Department has improved since you graduated. I fully support some of your comments but your use of grammar and spelling is surely killing the points you are trying to make. As for all of you people pointing your fingers saying we’re racist WASPs, please look up the definition of ILLEGAL. As for everyone ‘for’ Spanish becoming our ‘second’ language, my grandparents were Austrian born and the English language became their FIRST language with German as their second. My parents both spoke fluent German ...as their SECOND language.(I wish they would have taught me German) The way I see it is that the U.S.A. has laws just like any other country. Anyone can legally come to the U.S.A. if all proper paper work is submitted and finally approved. I have had the pleasure of meeting foreigners living temporarily in the U.S.A. under work visas. I do not know the full procedure on how they obtained these visas, but I do know that they were university students from the Ukraine. They were hard workers with dreams/goals of becoming U.S. citizens sometime in their future. I hope their dreams come true. They were “LEGAL”. My last point, ILLEGAL means ILLEGAL…punishable by LAW. LEGAL in my mind, means honesty and I honestly believe that if you’re ILLEGAL you should not have any RIGHTS. |

Maybe you should go to some of these countries and see what they are fleeing from. How they eat and live before making judgement. But at the same time, they should come here and learn english, and get papers, and pay taxes. But why when you say immigrant due we think of only spanish, there are just as much chinese and polish here illigaly. If you dont speak english you probly are not here legal.

WAY TO GO MAYOR BARLETTA.....DID THEY CHANGE THE LANGUAGE WHEN OUR ANCESTORS CAME TO THE USA - LEARN ENGLISH OR GO HOME....MAYOR BARLETTA FOR PRESIDENT |
|
Yeah. They can bet there will be PLENTY of ramifications. If they don't like it they can go home to wherever they came from. We don't need them here.

I call this an invasion and bullying. Send in the guard and get rid of these invaders.

Billy Schwartz of Hialeah isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. The makings of a revolution isn't that black and white. Delegates from the colonies had been pleading with the British king for years to be more lenient with his taxes. The Stamp Act was probably the straw that broke the camel's back. I live in Miami. I hear only Spanish on the job. Even at lunch, if I sit with hispanic friends, the conversation inevitably goes Spanish, even though, everyone there is fluent in English. They fly their communist flag everywhere. They are rude, inconsiderate, and arrogant. They have no love for this country. When they vote here, they vote for the candidate who has his or her eye on Cuba.
Hazelton, stop it now if you can, because once it starts rolling, there's no stopping it. |

George Washington was an immigrant???????Did you study history in this country or in Cuba? |
|
Billy, Billy, Billy...... I beleive that was his point. It was a monarchy. Now it's a democracy. |

Judged: 1 1 We absolutly HAVE forgotten what it was like for our immigrant relations that came over thru Ellis Island. Ellis Island was a rigid port of immigration. Health related measures were of the utmost importance. Quotas maintained for fairness of ethnicity entering I hope, and then you were simply a number. Heck, they cared not who you were or really where you were from. Your name got changed to suit the majority dialect and ability to pronounce it. Talk about an unsecure border. You could come here as Joe Crook and have your name automatically changed to Joe Cook! Difference is nowadays the individuals coming in are NOT screened for health matters. Why do you suppose TB is rampant and strains of flu mutating on a daily basis. You "swing wide the gates" lett'em all in you racists!" must at LEAST be concerned about your own health? No wonder the current ADMIN gets away with treason. Our land is being given away. Tell me these 12+ million illegals from S.A. is an oversight and a result of cutbacks and I'll tell you "There is a sucker born every day." |
|
I beg to differ with your assumption regarding health matters. As a Canadian who immigrated to the US in 2002, one of the conditions placed on me was that a full medical exam be taken by a doctor approved by the INS...INCLUDING getting a TB shot even though I had one already been given in 1999. We that come into the US LEGALLY and follow the rules accordingly are definately screened for health matters. get your facts straight....PLEASE! |
|
PLEASE let me clarify: I do not assume, sir, I am certain that the individuals now entering from all boarders illegally are NOT screened for health matters let alone have any communication to seek approval from the INS. I was clearly pointing out the benefits of Ellis Island procedures serving to protect the health of the country as a whole. I applaud you for doing just that. |

Our politicians don’t care about America. Why do we have laws if they fail to enforce them? My suggestion is, let’s do away with the border patrol. They are under funded and when they do take action they are prosecuted by the very government that employs’ them to protect the borders. Recently, two border patrol agents were prosecuted by the Feds for shooting an illegal in the back as they were chasing him. Come to find out, the guy they were chasing was transporting drugs and the border agents were charged with violating the illegal’s rights. What right, the right to come across the border illegally or the right to bring drugs into our country. The problem is with both parties, the Democrats and the Republicans. They talk a good game, but fail to act. They are more concerned about the rights of people who aren’t suppose to be here, then they are of the citizens.

Jack, there were no rules when the bulk of Europeans arrived to Ellis Island. It was not until 1921 and 1924 when laws and regulations such as the Chinese Exclusion Act, the Alien Contract Labor Law and the institution of a literacy test barely stemmed this flood tide of new immigrants. The Immigration Act of 1924 further restricted immigration, changing the quota basis by reducing the annual quota to some 164,000. If the immigrant's papers were in order and they were in reasonably good health, the Ellis Island inspection process would last approximately three to five hours. Read how both our government and the Ellis Island Foundation describe the cursory treatment given to our European immigrants upon arrival to Ellis Island:“First and second class passengers would disembark, pass through Customs at the piers and were free to enter the United States. The steerage and third class passengers were transported from the pier by ferry or barge to Ellis Island where everyone would undergo a medical and legal inspection…Only two percent of the arriving immigrants were excluded from entry. The two main reasons why an immigrant would be excluded were if a doctor diagnosed that the immigrant had a contagious disease that would endanger the public health or if a legal inspector thought the immigrant was likely to become a public charge or an illegal contract laborer.” http://www.ellisisland.org/genealogy/ellis_is... http://www.nps.gov/stli/serv02.htm#Ellis Prior to 1924, Ellis Island would process up to 7,000 immigrants per day. Now Jack, should the Mexicans be given the same treatment upon arrival to our borders? |

Either you totally missed the point.. or, are you suggesting that the Taino indians that Columbus found in the island of Puerto Rico were not considered people. |
