Price - Gnade Ford Mercury

Whats up with there service dept? I was told don't buy a vehicle from them because of there servive dept. Apparently they cant fix anything right. Why is this? I think its so you keep coming back & be forced to spend more money, or is it because the mechanics are incompenant? What about anybody else any comments?

I have never heard anything bad about them.

I have purchased many vehicles there and have never had any major problems. They have really been great. {purchased maybe 13 or 14}

We've purchased there too and have had no problems....always been great to work with.

We've bought many vehicles from them through the years and love doing business with them. We've never had an issue with the sales or service staff. My son was not so lucky with the Dodge dealer in Moscow - but that dealer has now closed that location.

I've bought 4 vechiles from them 2 trucks a SUV & a car, the 1st vehcile was a truck I still own it had a problem the day I drove it off the lot in 02 plus I got the extended warranty, they worked on it a couple of times, the problem is still there & now the warrant is expired so it was NEVER fixed correctly. The SUV is great no complants (but they have not had to ever work on it) we traded the car we bought from them for the SUV. Next I bought a truck for my son, runs great, but before we bought it in late Sept early Oct of 08 the A/C was not working & we wantd it fixed before we purched it, they agreed, it seem to work, but after 4 months in Mar there was a pretty warm day when my son went to use the A/C & it did'nt work. Basicaly we were told we were SOL! So for me every thing major thier service dept touched turned out to be a failure on there part & there refusal to do anything about it. But I my be making some progress on my 02 truck.

A former employee said alot of people don't buy from them because of the reputation of there service dept.

I have never purchased a vehichle from them but have used their service department once. I was NOT impressed and would not return.

A good friend of mine use to work there as a service tech (oil changes & other small jobs) & he advised me to never under any circumstance take a vehcile there to be worked on by there mechanics, he sems to think they wont fix things right on purpose so you keep having to bring your car back so you spend more $$$$ & not fix crap right under warranty for that exact same reason

The sales & sercive staff are great! its just when the mechanic work on a vehicle, the oil changes are great they do a really good over all inspection of yoour vehcile evry time.

Ask Elsberry FD what thay think of Price-Gnade, I've head nothing but bad things about there service dept, how stuff is never fixed right. I believe in supporting the local business, but not the ones that try to bend you over & ram the johnson in your terd pincher with no lube & from what I've heard about them they are a prime example of that! So I will avoid them as if they have herpies!

I'm loolking to get a F150, thanks I'll not be going to Price Gnade (I was gonna go there) Marshal Ford or Pudman seems like the place to by a Ford! NOT Price Gnade!!

I'm glad that I have always had good experiences @ Price-Gnade. Some don't sound so lucky.They have always been so good to work with.

As a mechanic @ a metro area Ford dealership from experience I can tell you that I have worked on ALOT! of vehicles that customers have brought in for service to us, that were first brought into price gnade for service & not fixed. So we had to clean up after there service department. From what I see from there service department I would recommend NOT to to your vechile there for service your just asking for problems

I won't evere go to there service dept again, they can't fix shit right!! I had to take to Marshal Ford & they did a good jog.

Based on experience with Service Dept., they do okay if you have a specific, identifiable problem and tell them to fix. If you need any kind of diagnostics or problem solving....forget it and spend your money someplace else where they can zero in on the problem quickly and not soak you for a lot of labor time!

My husband and I have purchased many Fords over our 36 years of marraige. Since moving to the Troy area, we have purchased several vehicles from Price-Gnade. We purchased an, F-150 4X4 Super Cab from them in'95, and have always had it serviced there. NEVER a problem. We still have that truck and the only major problem we have had, was with the lock in hubs, we had them replaced. Not bad for a truck that is a 1995 4X4. Our most recent purchase is an Edge. We could not be happier with our service from their dealership. It does not matter what company you purchase a vehicle from, you are going to hear good and bad reports.

From what I've read on on these post it sounds like rapeing people might run in his family.
