Guardsman sent to jail for role in rape

Don't count on these soldiers being discharged from the PA Army National Guard for these crimes. The PA Army National Guard has a confirmed history of allowing convicted sex offenders to serve in their ranks. They not only serve in their ranks, but they are promoted and allowed to supervise young soldiers.

This is one of the reasons that I decided it was time to retire from the military.

I certainly hope that there is an immense public outrage if this is true and they are retained by the PA Army Nat'l Guard...I wouldn't think that the Army would want such bad PR...

The outrage should come from the soldiers who have to serve with these animals. But the entire chain of command in the PA Guard knew about the convicted sex offenders and did nothing about them.

I thank you for your comments...you don't know how many uneducated, ignorant people have been leaving comments on different news sites about this story, blaming the victim and stating that she got what she deserved by being "stupid" and trusting these men. It seems they didn't read the entire story, it was not one woman going with 3 men that night; was 4 men and 3 women hanging out together.....

... all in the sad name of "recruting and retention."
Yes, saw this since the 80s.. and by early 2000s.. had not changed... in fact, it worsened after the Bush-Iraq War.

Judge Kline deserves to be commended for putting justice first and taking a hard-line approach.“Why didn’t you listen to the pleas of the victim that night?” the judge asked. If judges across this country follow Judge Kline's lead, a reduction in rape and violent crimes against women could be a welcomed outcome.

I went back and read the archives, and this is what I turned up. A 36 year old woman of Lebanon married with a son who works in the Lebanon county municipal system went to Frog's Hollow bar with a male friend (not her husband) at 23:30 on 12/14/07. At about 00:30 4 men from the GAP arrived at Frogs Hollow, one of them visibly intoxicated came on to the 36 year old female, she responded he is built like a brick shit house and danced with him and reciprocated. She knew he was drunk. At about 1:30 the male friend(not her husband) she came with was ready to leave, she took him home. At about 02:00am she returned to the bar, it was closed. She found the men in the parking lot. The men where going back to the barracks. Point: "so she never met these guys before, they are drunk, she is 36 married with a child, the soldiers range from 22-24 in age, none married, it's 2am in the morning and her decision is to go back to the barracks" yikes..what's wrong with that picture. So she drives one of the soldiers to the barracks, stops at one of the barracks and gets more beer with them.. They finally end up at one of the barracks all drunk, she goes into a army bathroom and agrees to have sex with one of the guys, other soldiers come into the bathroom to use it. She agrees to engage in sex with all of them, she put condoms on all of them, at one point another woman who was there opened the door and saw her engaging in these sexual escapades with all of them, she didn't say anything. Point: "Like help me these guys are raping me, scream to the others in the barracks male and female" So when she was finished with them, she left the barrack and then once caught by the husband, she decided to cry rape rather than explain to her husband, child and family that she is slut,...she didn't go to the hospital until 12/19/07 5 days after the incident. If you where raped by 3 guys you wouldn't go to the hospital the same day/hour/minute? The alleged victim pursued this because she was caught being a slut, the police and court system took it because it's a money maker.

Another sad example of people spouting off their opinion and getting the facts WRONG.... the victim and her spouse separated four months before this incident happened and had started the divorce process; that would seem to prove your "theory" totally incorrect! Also, I reside in Allentown and know that one of the perps WAS married, but separated from his wife because he knocked up some other woman and that child was born only 2 months before this incident happened! To all the people who feel the need to express their opinion on this case, I suggest you do what I am planning to do - wait for the trial when the REAL facts come out, only then will I form an opinion (based on FACTS NOT RUMORS AND ASSUMPTIONS)
