College Towing has "kids" changing your tire and cross-threading the bolts on the tires.

Obviously the management does not care about quality and/or proper training.

They are a ripoff towing company, they are a vending for AAA road assistance. They should have there vendors application with AAA road assistance terminated for doing bad business. You towing should not be about making jokes on drivers who are stranded left without a tow as College Towing is will try to give you some kind of outragious estimate for a tow or assistance on top of their guidelines with AAA road assistance contract.

Lastly this legislation passed in California by former State Senator Quentin Kopp and former Assemblyman Richard Katz passed in 1996 SB 1758 & AB3148 which allowed tow companies from allover the State to tow on a suspended licenses and imppund vehicles for 30 days and charge whatever impounding fee they choose. In most cases the fees being so high after 30 days, most people can't afford to get their vehicles back, end up losing them. The tow companies love this legislation as it allows them to take advantage of California drivers and make a huge profit because of these crooked leglistion supported by democrats.

Jake, please contact me regarding your story about College Towing. We are engaged in a lawsuit against them for violations of the Constitution and your right to due process before they take your private automobile. We would like your input, it could be very helpful to stopping them.

Contact me at SUEtheDMV@yahoo.com

You sound very knowledgable. We have court actions pending against College Towing and a City Police Department regarding this very issue. Please contact me. The more info we have the better.

Yes, they are a little greedy. They and the police had unlawfully towed my motorcycle after it was stolen and abandoned by someone else first. They wanted an outrageous amount before they would return it. I made a counter offer, but a manager named Brian threatened to destroy my credit if I did not pay what they demanded. I mean my bike was almost worth nothing to anyone but me.

Anyways after 3 months an attorney for the city decided that I was right, it was an unlawful tow. The police and College towing were ordered return it for free! It was crazy, because they wanted over $3,000 in towing and storage fees over a bike that might be worth $50!(Hey your property is your property). In the end I wished the first thief had done his job right, because the real highway robbery started when the police and College Towing got involved.
