I have a friend that works there and the starting pay is $15.00 an hour. No overtime unless you work more than 60 hours a week. Dock workers are exempt from the 40 hour week overtime standard all other business has to abide to. A 40 hour week is a rarity.

You can't even make a proper sentence. I can guarantee you can't load trailers. The people that got fired didn't cover their own ass. The slipped up. You can't make the Money OD pays anywhere else. So put up with the BS and cover your ass.

Who can't load a trailer? If you can flip burgers or mop a floor you can load a trailer. It aint rocket science.

go to old dominion. just off exit 4 on I81. huge, cant miss it. all applications are done on site via internet. both dock and drivers are hired this way. I recommend driving for the money but dock for the best home time. I read that you are a coal miner. brother, if you can do mining, the dock will be no problem for you. honestly, if you can do what is asked of you, show up on time, and use common sense, the cold weather months will be your only obstacle. don't listen to naysayers. check it out and use your own judgement. best of luck to you. oh, white pine may not be where you were thinking of moving to. check their website and see where all they have facilities. im pretty sure there may be employment tips on there as well.
