October 1 there will be a new Suboxone Clinic opening in Miorristown. I have heard that one of the doctors is known as the candy man. I hope so, sometimes they are just to stingy with Suboxone and won't give you what you need to get better. I will be there Thursday morning to get started.

Are you referring to Watuga Recovery? If you are, you need to be serious about your recovery. They check your levels and drug test you every week. I go there and have been clean for over a year. So please don't go there if you are not serious. Don't cheapen the one place that gave me my life back.

a couple of md moved from Moshiem to morristown. They aren't taking new patients until 2nd week October, only us transfers from Moshiem. NOW READ CLOSELY: these drs are strict, you WILL be given a drug screen every visit, they check levels to see if what your prescribed is there, and if what isn't supposed to be there isn't. PLEASE DON'T SCREW THIS PLACE UP! I have been clean for 18 months. If you are serious about recovery, then check it out and good luck. If you aren't serious, go get yourself some more of that action and I will be praying you aren't another statistic. WE DON'T WANT FLAKES AT NEW OFFICE!! It's a tight family and trust me, you will be called on your bs if you dare try it. Happy hunting

First of all, CONGRATS ON YOUR SOBRIETY!!!! I have been clean for 18 months thanks to suboxone treatment, na meetings, and great support. I'm like you and don't want fakes, pill hustlers, and people thinking they can go just to flip their script to the streets. I love Dr Catney!! He is the kindest, most patient, understanding dr I have ever met! He's handsome too!! Lol
Hopefully people like us can put the word out that we don't want anyone there but folks that want their life back. Keep up the great work friend!!

Thanks for positivity and support!! I just hate seeing people hanging out in the parking lot and pharmacy waiting on someone to walk out the door who's flipping their meds. Very frustrating and sadly I USED to be one of them! I would love to start a "suboxone only success group" around here, as a new outlook and option to NA or Celebrate Recovery, not that both aren't great, just something new and different. Good luck to both of you and Congrats!

Is this another satellite office of the Moshiem Clinic? I was at the Moshiem Clinic today and didn't see any information about it.
Is the rates the same? Does anyone have address or contact info?
Explanation please

How is it any better to be prescribed suboxinn or subutex to get off on drugs & then become hooked on the strips? I thought that it would be smarter to just detox....

Blah blah blah.... Prescribed drugs to get off drugs..... Blah blah blah.
Here's the difference:1. I am now under a doctors care instead of buying drugs from dealers in parking lots.
2.I am in the process of weaning down
3. Obviously you've not ever "withdrawn", it's much harder to do than people seem to think
4. There is no "high" from Suboxone, so obviously it's used for medical purposes.
Do NOT judge something u know nothing about. I used to be like you, and judge people, then I became addicted. I have a great job, good family, good income---it can happen to anyone.

if u have been going to Moshiem and were a patient of one of the 2 md that opened office here, you would have gotten a letter in the mail with info. Apparently your md is still practicing at Moshiem.
No new pts yet, only transfers. It will be the 2-3 week in October before they schedule new people. New patients-200$ to start and 100$ weekly. When you wean down to one strip, tablet, or whatever it is 50$ a week. There are ways to earn points as well that have cash value.

It's probably doctors that got you on them in the first place. Can't directly blame it on dealers. You are going to have withdraws coming off of the Suboxone. Though they may not be as bad.. still going to have them. I don't really see the medicinal value in prescribing a controlled substance for an extended period of time. That's potentially damaging to parts of your body that may already be affected by your previous addiction. It's like fighting fire with fire. Now I am not trying to knock you down.. I am all for people bettering their lives. I got a family full of heads, I know what it's all about. I just believe there are much better and effective ways at treating and curing an addiction.
Explanation please

Who judged u? I just asked a question. Please do not be so defensive. I don't know much about the suboxone drug I've never tried one bc I sleep enough as it is but a friend of mine was on one the other night & she was tore up from the floor up. She said that it helped her relax & dummy was getting in the drivers seat fading in & out so u can't convience me that a person can't get high off of it. Why else would they be so expensive on the street? People are not going to pay $20-40 a strip or pill unless their getting something from it to alter their minds for a little while. Come on now it's just another addictive drug prescribed by a person who claims they are a doctor. They are probably a nurse practitioner. But anyways I'm not dissing anybody for getting them. Each for his own. I'm not hating in anybody who wants to make some extra change. And if it's helping u with ur addiction that's outstanding!!!! Stay strong!

Not trying to be mean but getting off a pill addiction by switching to another addiction like Suboxone is just like trying to stop smoking Marbrols by switching to Kools. There has got to be a better way for people addicted to pain pills. The DRs love helping you kick your additions by getting you addicted to another drug that pads their pockets. No matter what you say, these Dr. are not starting these clinics to get you off drugs, it is to get themselves paid.

i was on pills for 3 years then got on suboxone but that was the wrong thing to do because i was replacing on drug for another. i woke up one morning and never took another suboxone again. withdraws was awful but i lived!!!!!!!!!! i guess some people cant do that or just dont have enough willpower. but good luck to anybody wanting off pills. just do it the right way dont replace one drug for another. im sure someone will make a smart as$ comment to this but lord knows i could care less.

I was a patient at Moshiem, but have been detoxed completely for three months. Neither of the two doctors opening the Morristown clinic were my doctor but I did receive a letter about the new clinic opening in Morristown.

I have several problems with my receiving this letter. I called Moshiem and asked how or why my personal contact information was given to the Morristown Clinic. I was told that the Mosheim Clinic did not provide this information nor did they give permission for anyone to look in my file to obtain this information. They were completely unaware that this letter existed until late last week when another patient brought it in questioning how another clinic got their personal data.

I feel this is a HIPPA violation by those that took this information. My family became very upset when this letter arrived. They were very much afraid that I had relapsed. I understand why they immediately became concerned. Addicts and active addictive behaviors destroy trust and it takes lots of time to rebuild this trust. It took a lot of talking to get them to understand that I wasn't going to any clinic.

If the doctors at the new Morristown Clinic use secret tactics to obtain contact information to build up their new clinic I am not sure they should be in the recovery business.

and....what's your point? They let the computer randomly pick who gets screened UNLESS there is reason to other wise. So take it as a compliment, she must be working the program correctly!!!
