Probably a couple of months. The last club out there was really a good place and it only lasted about 6 mos. What kind of bar is it going to be?

It is called the Rising Moon....I dont know how long it will last but they sure got a great band, BlackWater, playing there. Morristown needs some place to go and socialize besides the VFW or the Metro. Does anybody remember the good ole days when we had the Bullet, the Moose, AMVETS, the Elks all having live music in Morristown? It would be nice to get that back again.

Once the law puts up a road block on sulphur springs rd at 160 and brice's market, not many people will come back. They did that once when it was the bullet.

The Downtowner is a good place to check out, too. I go past there fairly often, walking my dog, and they've always got good bands playing and they're a friendly bunch. They've even invited Kharma in after things have cleared out some, lol.

New businesses need all the positive energy they can possibly get! This is very bad on so many levels......We should be hoping they will do well. Who ever they are...
I wish them the best of luck in their venture.

Got that, CD, especially when they're LOCAL businesses, not more boxed franchise/company store types. Morristown is rapidly losing all of its local character and becoming just another one of those franchised strips.

Being from Miami the commercialness doesn't bother me its the people who post idiocy and believe it or not creates alot of bad karma for unsuspecting businesses.. Morristown needs to be spiced up a little not too much but a little would be fabulous. I would love to see more restaurants with finer foods....and dress codes.. Hee Hee.

The biggest problem is the stupid Morristown law that says a business cant sell beer if they have pool tables. Its kinda funny you can have a gun in a bar but you cant play pool.

Bring back the original Silver Bullet Band (EXIT), and then we're talking! No band in town can compare to them.

Strange: I was there most every weekend. The Bullet got a bad name because of things that went on OUTSIDE in the parking lot mainly. Very rarely did I see a fight inside. The few I did see, the bouncers got them out and under control pretty quick. And oh yeah, the girls were more likely to start it up in there than the guys were.

All the guys in the band out there except the drummer used to play there....I think the singer was in Grey Ghost

That is strange cause I can remember a fight almost everytime I was there, and that was alot back in the day.The bouncers especially! You must have known different bouncers cause I got set up by one the first time I ever went there when it first opened.A good fight was almost guaranteed.

I loved going to the Silver Bullet. I was there almost every Saturday night for 2 years. The only fights inside were usually in the ladies room. Most other fights were either stopped as soon as they started or out in the parking lot. The band that played when I was going was Grey Ghost. Joey Wilder was the lead singer. They were good. I miss Ruby and Larry too! They were great! Can't leave out Junior, Kenny, and Judy! That place was great! I hope this new place is good. My husband and I don't go out much anymore, but occassionally I'd like to go dance. It would be nice not to have to drive an hour to go hang out and dance a little!

Oh, I also agree that Morristown's law about beer and pool tables is insane! I think I'd rather take my chances with a pool table and cue over a gun!

Good luck Rising Moon!

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Cancer

You'll be happiest when you're with people who make you feel loved and cherished. You'll bend over backwards to keep them sweet, and will concede arguments and disputes for the sake of peace. Try not to make it peace at any price because that could be setting up problems with people who will then try to take advantage of your good nature. Co-operation is one thing, being a doormat is quite different.
