do you really want to start bashing realtors now? i guarantee you that this will turn in to a free for all where everyone bashes all the realots they are jealous of? There are several realtors in this town that I know a lot of crap on - and to be honest, i know one or two fairly decent realtors but would be scared to mention their names because that leaves them wide open for someone who doesn't like them to fire back. You will hear good and bad about everyone in every business unless they are just someone who doesn't do much in the world or unless they are someone who doesn't have any good to tell. so, find yourself a realtor and be done with it, buddy.

Why would we expect this topic to be any different? Seems that the majority of the posts on this site are designed to bash someone in some way. Why would we expect realtors to be treated any differently? If the original poster is really interested in finding out the best realtor to use they should not rely on a site that allows people to hide their identities.

Norma Wykle is very professional and really markets houses well. I've used her before and have no complaints.

I didn't realize this was a worthless site. According to your responses it must be though. New to the area and just wanted some input. What is the point of this site then? Sorry, "please dont ask", I won't use this forum to ask questions anymore. Or at all for that matter. What a friendly town I must have moved to.

I hear the best are Terri Ball and Amy Brown. I hear the worst are John Ricker and the Winstead clan.

Tim and Diane Weaver with First Realty are wonderful. They are very focused on their work, and have helped so many people in our community find homes and rentals. I used them and they are very informative both in buying and selling of your home. They are a mother/son team, and have an assistant that stays in the office that can also help you out. Very professional, and their family is well known in our town. They will not pressure you, can answer many questions, and are very smart when it comes to real estate and the market today. They also have a very efficient marketing plan. When I had my home listed with them several months back, they did all they could to advertise my property in all the local magazines, newspaper, and they have a website. I recommend that you give them a call and just meet up and talk with them. I know they stay busy, but treat every client with respect and will go well out of their way to help you find the home you want, or help you sell yours. Whenever I was going to sell my home I interviewed them, and a few other local realtors, and they were my #1 choice. Good luck!

finding the one

Best: Monty Sams, Travis Earls, Tim & Diane Weaver, Norma Wykle, Brenda Weddington, Rhonda Krenzer Worst: Anyone that's only been in real estate for a small amount of time. I think the company that has the least amount of experience in this town would be Coldwell Banker. They have agents that just come and go all the time and I'm always seeing new faces on their ads in the paper. I would definitely choose someone that has been in the business for awhile and knows their stuff and wouldn't just put you in a house that you weren't completely happy with, which is what some of the less experienced realtors might do just because it's hard making money in the real estate industry these days with the market being as it is. Some realtors are just pushy, and I personally do not like that. Home buying can be a wonderful experience if you find the right realtor that can make it enjoyable, and help you make a smart decision.

Funny wrote: <quoted text>Is this a paid advertisement or straight from the desk of... The discussion was about the best and worst realtors. Topix is based on opinion, and I was just giving mine. I'm sorry that you think it's a paid advertisement or whatever, I just used them as my realtors and was very pleased. Some may agree, and other may not. It's simply what I suggest to the person that started the thread, and whether or not they take my advice is their decision, I was just simply stating what I think of them. If you have any other suggestions, why don't you list yours? I agree that this site must be completely worthless, you can't post anything without someone bad-mouthing or disagreeing, or trying to start an argument about it. I used to enjoy Topix, now I'm beginning to think otherwise thanks to people like you.

Why so angry? Like you said, just my opinion. No malice intended. Just sounded very fabricated. Not a big deal. Don't get your blood pressure up.

My Family have used the realtors at Purkey Real Estate for more tnan 3 generations of buying and selling property. They know what they are doing and they treat you like they are concerned and it does not matter if you are buying a lot or a big farm they treat you the same and not like it has to be a large amount of money that they make on commission as to how hard they work for you. Great People!

Most of us are friendly, and we welcome you to our city. I haven't used a realtor in years, but Bill Burns is good, and there are some good realtors at Re-Max. Sorry I can't be of more help!! I have bought and sold many houses thru the years and I dealt with Clarence Purkey as long as he lived and there was not a more honest man in the business, you could take his word and trust what he told you. Since his death I still deal with his son Bob and the Purkey company and they still do business the way Clarence did--Honest
