The Chick-fil-a facebook page has people saying their local store was packed, so I was wondering if the people in Morristown showed their support?

Glad to hear that they are busy. I agree, it's completely hypocritical of them to get their panties in a twist when someone says anything about them, but we are evil, terrible people if we support what is in the Bible and defend our religion and our beliefs. They don't want equality, they want complete control over what we can personally believe, feel and express and I will go to my grave defending what my Bible says.

I sure wouldn't post any of these comments on Facebook, as it is backed with money from the CIA. You just might be labeled a terrorist under the National Defense Authorization Act and be jailed without seeing a judge or jury. You know that Chick supporters will be labeled bible thumping, bigots, that belong to the Tea Party and just might own guns that could make them a terrorist!

Controversy = money and publicity, just ask the celeberty Sara Palin, she won't miss a good photo op! She'll probably send them a advertising bill! But good for CF, he showed how great this country is, say what you beleive, and don't care if anybody likes it or not, wonder what Chicago would do if he closed all his restaurants there and moved them to another City? Good by employment and tax dollors. But I think he's to good a man to do that.

We went to Sevierville and the police were directing traffic at chick fil a. Enjoyed it. They said it had been packed when the doors opened. Good for them and the folks who support their freedom of beliefs also.
The staff were still smiling with the placed packed wall to wall and the drive thru was backed out into the street.

its great and all hat you are supporting them. proud for you that you stood up for what you believe.

now show some of that christ like behavior you claim by being christian and help to heal the sick and feed the poor.

The Christians are already helping feed the hungry, build houses and many other helpful deeds, while a troll like you stay on here and spew your hate and draw your free government checks. Is that about it? Good to see Christians take a stand for their beliefs and not let the liberal troll crowd get them down.

you gave a pittance to the church so you are now absolved of the responsibility of christian behavior?

i would like to thank you for being a beacon of christ like behavior.

and one more question.

how is it that christians standing up for what they believe is being a good christian, but a non christian standing up for what they believe is spewing hate and trolling?

its okay for you to speak your opinion but not okay for me to? sorry,it doesnt work like that.

your double standard does not apply to me.

When it comes to replies about Christians, most if not all have always been not a dislike toward, but the hate is there in the words. You troll looking for it. Mirror your self serving rightous self sometime.

huh?

if you imply that i seek these posts out, then you would be partially correct.

like you, i read the threads that i find interesting.

sadly on this forum its either religious debate or who's screwing who. as i have stated many times, someone elses sex life is not my concern.

my dislike for these posts to which i respond comes from the selfrightious attitude of the posters to which i reply. i can and will be as civil towards them as they are to me. however, civility is beyond most of the people who post on topix.

of the "christian" posters on this site, most who choose to show civility are frequently set upon by the fundamenatlists on this site and drummed off of it. which leaves us mostly with the ones who present all the things that i despise about organized religion. bigotry, hatred, self rightious holier than thou bible thumpers who most have never read the book they claim to follow.

i do occasionaly reread the posts i have made, and do admit that there are times when my emotions and frustration at willfull ignorance presented on this forum get away from me and i do make aggressive posts. i have said some unpleasant thngs on this site. when i find myself doing so, i take a break from it till i can maintain at least a mild form of civility.

my "self rightiousness", however, is usually in direct proportion to the amount of self rightiousmness i am faced with here.

im not here to win any popularity contests. im here to speak my mind. same as you. we dont have to agree, we dont even have to agree to disagree.

if you dont like what i post, dont read what i post.

How foolish you are. Most Churches in Morristown and Jefferson City give annually to the Daily Bread, Mats, Kingswood school and the Food Pantry as well as other helpful organizations. The majority of volunteers at Habitat for Humanity come from local churches. In addition, church members pay a much higher percentage of taxes than non Christians. We are not perfect, but most do much more than the average liberal troll on topix.

dont sit back and play it up like its only the christians doing good works.

when was the last time you stopped to help someone broke down on the side of the road? took time out of your day and/or money out of your pocket to directly assist a person that truly needed it?

the opportunity provides itself to personally step up on an almost daily basis, how often do you truly personally step up?

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Taurus

No matter what else you're supposed to be doing today, it's a good idea to devote a little time to making sure your finances are running smoothly. You might even want to pay some bills now, rather than wait a couple of days until they're due, simply so you can make sure that you don't forget them. There should be some good news about a pay rise or perk, too.
