I am beyond disgusted at the things I am watching as these supposed "Christian leaders" belittle and encourage CRIME ranging from beating tiny infants to raping all "in the name of God." I have so many comments but, quite frankly, these lecherous deviants aren't worth a moment more of my time. SHAME ON EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU ABUSING YOUR POSITION OF POWER AND TORTURING GOD'S FOLLOWERS WHO PLACED THEIR UNWAVERING FAITH IN YOU. EACH OF YOU ARE COWARDS WHO HIDE BEHIND YOUR BIBLES. I can guarantee you that God does not approve of what you're doing and,the day you are on your knees before God awaiting your judgement, each and every one of the victims you have left in your wake will be standing proud next to the Lord. From there, they will witness your journey to eternal damnation. Godspeed.
VICTIMS: Countless prayers for each of you from our family. Stand proud and strong because in the eyes of God, you have done NO WRONG. Your PERPETRATORS will absolutely be called to judgement and be begging for their souls to no avail. You have suffered needlessly here on earth, but those who have harmed you will suffer for an eternity. You are strong. You are loved. You are blessed.

I watched the show and it just reconfirms my beliefs that radical Christians are dangerous. This should not be going on and I hope as a result of this show that investigations nationwide start taking place.

I know in Morristown these churches are classified as Independent Baptist, but if they are fundamental or not, I don't know:

LANDMARK BAPTIST CHURCH

EASTWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH

OPEN DOOR BAPTIST CHURCH

EMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH

MORRISTOWN BAPTIST TABERNACLE

FIRST INDEPENDENT FREE WILL BAPTIST CHURCH

BIBLE AIRES BAPTIST CHURCH

These are not radical Christians. They are crazy people who don't know what it means to be a Christian.

I was raised in Eastwood Baptist church and I can assure you that they are not an IFB church. Well at least not at the time when I attended. I believe that open door is. I remember sitting there for service one Sunday morning and the pastor said that the Baptist were the only religion that would be going to heaven and that they were better than any other religion. I haven't been back since.

Just because a "radical" group tags a name onto their sign don't group all others into that same category. If that were true, everyone caught drinking a beer would be jailed for public intoxication, child abuse, adultery, DUI, and on..... because that logic fits the same as you use on these churches. If you "don't know", then you need to keep your mouth shut, and your comments out of print until you "do know".

Must be comments by an IFB - telling someone to keep their mouth shut. Stupid religious nut jobs, they should be rounded up and put on an island by themselves.

The practice of child-beating is NOT biblical Christianity, and the attraction of the media to the perverse, fringe groups of Christianity only serve to bring shame to the name of our Lord and to his true, Bible-based church. The media loves to find the ungodly, hypocritical elements that take the title of "christian," so that the lost of this world won't be attracted by our loving Lord, who died for them. Satan is alive and well in the media, AND in the perverted groups who bring shame to the lovely name of Jesus Christ.

BS, the media is bringing attention to the twisted abusive ways of the crazies. If you say this brings shame on your lord, then you must be taking their side. I don't think the message of religion is suppose to be hate and abuse, but one of love.

funny thing is that the evils of the media are usually refered to as televangelists.

q: what do you call religion on television?

Just because there are some wicked horrible men and people in churches doesn't mean that all churches are the same or believe the same. I would suggest that you actually check those churches out before you make accusations and if they are founded then please let us know if they are holding to the wickedness of child abuse and rape etc. If not then you shouldn't blast there name just cause they are a baptist church. I Go to a baptist church but we do not hold to what these wicked men do. We do not hold to the same standards that the churches on 20/20 did.. and yes we are a baptist church but so not like them. Women can wear pants and we sing songs with beat in them and every person is held accountable for there own actions and no on is above anyone. I just think you should make sure that these churches are part of this evil before saying how horrible they are. And please if they are that way, report them to the police, cause it needs to be done. I say this because you stated that you didn't know if they were or not, and if your going to blast someone then you should be sure of what your saying. Be sure first before you make accusations cause i'm sure that you would want the same consideration done for you, instead of someone just lumping you with a group of people that were in the wrong, you would want to be fairly represented as well by others and i just ask you do the same. btw i'm not from any of those churchs but just wanted to give you a heads up about being sure and fair.

Facts to make us cautious about fully embracing Tina's story (these are from http://www.drchuckphelps.com/mothers-statemen... ): Fact: Tina's own mom, Mrs. Christine Leaf, writes in an email to her lawyer, "I just found a website: http://www.tinaandersonfoundation.org/ . The statements approved by Tina are not truthful. I believe her goal is money." Fact: Tina's mom's appointed lawyer writes in a public statement, "Much of what Mrs. Leaf [Tina's mom] has seen reported by the media about the circumstances surrounding her daughter's 1997 pregnancy are untrue...." Fact: In the same statement by Tina's mom's lawyer it states, "Mrs. Leaf has reviewed the enclosed statements prepared by Dr. Chuck Phelps....she says that the documents match her best recollection 100% and she fully affirms that Dr. Phelps is telling the truth" regarding the reports he made to the police and social service organizations.....

Two years ago my husband, who is an IFB pastor, found out a man in our church had molested his two daughters. My husband asked this man not to come back to church and has done everything to help the wife and girls that were molested. A police report was filed but nothing has been done by the justice system and this man is still free. The mom and daughters are devestated! This man has started going to a community church (not IFB) in the next town. When my husband called the pastor of that church to let him know about this man, the pastor there said that we all sin and you would be surprised if you truly knew what the guy in the pew behind you has done in the past so he said this man was welcome to come. So you all should be seeing a news report on that church soon!

Are there any GOOD baptist churches out there? Westboro BAPTIST church puts up "God Hates You" signs at funerals,(even threatening to protest a funeral for seven children killed in a house fire in Pennsylvania!) And now you have this Baptist Bunch abusing children! While a more local bunch of Baptists are having lessons on hunting, have some fun killing animals! here in Pennsylvania). What is it with that denomination?
