Auction for Morristown is June 12th at 10:00 if anyone is interested. There are still as many as 6 cars in the lot daily still drawing a check even though the last part was made months ago.
The company I work for now just bought the Robot off of SP0 at that auction, it is an antique but they got it dirt cheap, 18B went for $140,000, come one come all, lol, it is damn near completely empty now, the only action there now is everyone taking what they bought out of the biulding, even one of the Maint. guys that used to work there and works with me now at new facility is there taking down said robot and preparing it to be brought on over.

glad you think we was informed after management but if you worked there and went to town hall meetings you couldve seen they wasnt telling us everything they knew. they held back alot and did nothing for us at the end but gave us our "last supper" so to speak. all the hard work we did for nothing in return. we shouldve atleast got a severence package. alot of people are struggling now and many without jobs waiting on the TAA program and thats not even moving fast. we got the shaft bad!!!!
Stop your whining and get off your a** and find a job like the rest of us had to. There are jobs out there if you want one bad enough. All the hard work you did you did for a pay check, nobody owes you a thing.

Actually she does have another job already, I see her point though too, we should have gotten a servence package for our time invested but what can ya do, they are bankrupt and no one was fighting for us. I also see your point too and when it all comes down to it we did get a paycheck, some people got screwed out of their vacation pay oh yes they did but beyond that I think it was just a peaceful goodbye. On another note, if C&A would have quit doing stupid shit they may have survived in the field of operations, shit like paying high dollar for idiots to be "senior" techs that had no real experience (and 2 at our shop that was never worth a shit at all ever and only got "senior" tech by seniority of shift and NOT in anyway from being good at all) than the regular techs that are now doing far better than them now due to the lack of their skills. Where I am at now I can say without a doubt in the world that no "senior" tech from my old C&A would make it where I am at now at all. Don't get me wrong, there were 2 "senior" techs that had value at C&A but none of them would make it where I am at now. "senior" tech and none of them could initiate a placing program into a robot, c'mon, y'all suck. Anyhow, just an example of dumb shit C&A would incorporate that was only failure in the making.

Amen X Morristown worker. In this area if you want a job there is jobs to be had. I have talked to 10 or 12 ex-employees and all (so far) have found something close to what they had or better (at the same time I do not get to see many ex-employees). Of course as you said you have to want a job first. But it is much easier to get on here and blame everyone else. Take a "honest" look at the job all of us did and see who is at fault. Not just one group of people at a small plant in Morristown Indiana.
From what I have read on these post over the last couple months it sounds like management did a much better effort of keeping people informed than most other if not all other plants. It may have been things we did not want to here but it was what it was. Change is good for everyone-it is what you personally make of it! If you make it the end of the world that is what it will be. If you look at it as a chance to improve your life and do better for yourself and your family that is what will happen. It is what you make of it personally. It may not happen on the first or second try but it will happen because that is the way the Morristown people (most) did things.

First, only and last comment about Morristown.

I'm not whining at all, just saying we didn't get nothing like other plants. We did deserve a severence and others deserved their vacation pay. I DO have a new job that will pay me alot more thanh I got from cna after 16 years. I was at new job 3 weeks and got a 2 dollar raise and will go up to 15.83 once full time!! Made 12.65 there so I'm doing alot better but so many ex workers aren't. Stating your feelings isn't whining! I didn't sit on my a** and draw unemployment out cause I'm NOT lazy or stupid. New jobs have mandatory shut downs so I got a job fast!! so haha No need to be hateful to anyone who lost a job they really liked and enjoyed doing.

i worked at the morristown indiana plant for 13 years the last 2 , it seemed a goal to management to make us fail. i couldnt understand thier choices at the time but in hind sight it all makes sence. seems to me someone at corporate wanted us shut down . management ran us right into the ground!
Corporate had us targeted for shutdown long before managment knew and managment told everyone the status of the plant as they knew it. There were no secrets, pretty lame for people to sit there and say managment did nothing when thier jobs were on the line too. You want to say "run us into the ground" when in fact they did thier best but possibly people like you who sucked at your job and totally just didnt do anything useful hurt the facility more than anything. Only so many $20+ an hour employee's a company can handle that don't do shit.

I know who you are and you do suck. You think you're hot shit cause you were senior tech but are to dumb to understand you got it by seniority not by skill, there were lower seniority techs that were more skilled than you by far on your shit. On the other shits the other techs just decimate your skills completely.

You in fact only got your job through seniority not by skill so don't think you're hot shit. Yar I agree on senoirity rules and the union way by when ya suck you suck, don't try to fool people into thinking you're worth a shit.
