Marion teacher arrested for inappropriately touching students
A music teacher in Marion County has been arrested on lewd and lascivious molestation and battery charges after inappropriately touching two young female students, Marion authorities said.

This is happening all over the country. Go to www.schoolteachernews.com and click on the Scandal page. This year they have documented over 210 of these types of incidents. In 2008 they found 478 of these kinds of cases.

WTF. Seriously he admitted doing that and he has a bond of $27K??? Multiple incidents. He is not young and I bet he has touched tons of children. Should be NO bond. What is wrong with people? They are kids! I hope he gets touched harder than they did, in jail.

I don't think you're asking as the result of any real definitive study that indicates that, but IF it is true, I might suggest that the arts attract a higher percentage of people with, shall we say, unconventional sexual urges, and athletics offers plenty of potentially arousing situations (partial nudity, bodies on display, an emphasis on the body, hands-on training, changing of clothes, etc.). But as I said, pending any evidence to the contrary, I doubt that music and athletics teachers are "the worst offenders" to any statistically significant degree. |

Well I tip my hat to the officers who got him to talk. It was the word of a teacher against the word of a couple of confused kids. Had he kept quiet he would have totally gotten away with it.
