It takes a very hard heart not to forgive the driver of the semi! I know its not easy, but think of the torment he will face, and we can't judge him when we were not in the truck with him!!

He will have to forgive the truck driver if he wants to have peace in his own heart. Jesus did equate hatred with murder in the spiritual sense.

While he will never forget what happened, he needs spiritual and professional counseling to help him get through this.

I never told the guy who tried to kill me with his fists and hit me from behind in the heard several times that I forgave him for doing that.

But, because of the head trauma I suffered I have a permanent headache for which I have to take prescription medicines. I have even seen him in almost 7 years. My older sister is no longer married to him and her now husband likes me.

I hope in time he will be able to forgive the man.
If not, the hate will eat him up inside.

Prayers going up for all involved in that awful accident!

I have a feeling that in time he will forgive. There is a lot of raw emotion coming out right now for people that were involved in this. The impact of being at the scene alone seems to have really touched people. I think judgement of the people speaking out right now is also harsh; just as we do not know why the driver did not stop. We can not judge how people feel from having been a part of this.

Who is this guy to not forgive the driver? Unless this truck driver did it on purpose, Larry Smith needs to rethink his comments, God forbid, he ever makes a mistake in the future. I am sure this truck driver is sick and is having a hard time dealing with the accident also.

so would you forgive one for an accident? What if in time we find out something uncontrollably went wrong inside the truck, leaving the driver without options? You mr. smith were lucky, and did not lose anyone you cared about. Without forgiveness, you are no better than the people that are making decisions to take lives, not individuals who cause ACCIDENTS claiming lives. find it in your angry self to find peace!

Pray for dead for there spirit leaves the body with the pain of the body. All deaths are painful and Doctors cannot relieve the pain of spirits. Only the light of God can end the pain.

The pain never ends. It just gets easier to live with day to day, only if you allow it to ease.

Right now he's in a lot of pain, but I'm sure as his pain eases, forgiveness will set in. Unless any of you have ever been put in a situation such as this, then you would understand the emotional stress and physical pain he is going through.

He will come to understand, forgiveness is the way. He just needs time.

Those of us who were not there to witness the death and destruction should not criticize Mr. Smith. Did you expect him to say everything was just great this soon after what he saw? Has the driver given any explanation? Said how sorry he is? The first step is for he who needs forgiveness to ask for it. It seems quite strange that there is no sign that he tried to stop or steer his rig to the right and crash into the ditch. There is a lot of "splanin'" to do.

Ok is this guy for real? No wonder that happened to his family he seems like a cold hearted man! The cops already said that the driver was not under the influence and was not on a cell. It was an accident moron!

You must be kidding to say such a foolish thing, and who are you to judge? Do you KNOW this man? Can you understand that emotions are raw right now? I can say that I do know him, and I can say I know that in time he will forgive and he is just hurting right now. For you to comment about his family and what kind of person he is makes me want to REALLY judge you in a real bad way. I will instead sum it up to you trying to cause a reaction, and you did; so what's done is done.

So if someone plows into the back of your vehicle without attempting to slow down, you will quickly forgive him within 2 days of the accident regardless of how seriously injured the rest of your family is, or even if they are all dead? Honestly, I don't believe you for a second if you say you would. Easy for you to sit here and say what you do, when you were not there and did not have family members profoundly affected by this. I have to ask...Are you for real? My guess is no.

The truck driver was most certainly negligent in his driving...whether Mr. Smith forgives him, that is between him and God. It is probably too early to be asking those types of questions anyway.

I believe that chosing not to forgive someone only hurts the person making that choice.
My prayers are with each and every individual involved as well as their friends and families, regardless of possible "fault" or "innocence". There but for the grace of God go I.

I am wondering why this piece of garbage was allowed to drive an 18 wheeler at 76. It seem that his compsny should be hel equally responsible. Og course the almighty OHP hasn't even charged thi worthless excuse for a human. I still thing that a life should be required for each of the lives taken by this piece of crap person. He hasn't eve said he was sorry. Thes familys are a lot better that I would be if it was a member of my family.

A 72 year old almost killed my wife and I said that if she had of died, I would have required a life of one of his family members.

wHEN YOU DON'T EVEN TRY TO AVOID an accident, that makes it premeditaded. Trial excution. No matter if he is hurting, he can't hurt enough for the pain he has caused. 76 is way to old to be driving an 18 wheeler. Did they test him for dementia? Of course we are talking about cops that choke paramedics.

Do you know how the justice system works? The District Attorney is who files charges, not the OHP. The DA cannot file charges until he has reviewed all the evidence. How has he reviewed all the evidence when some of it was still along the turnpike the day after the wreck? It takes time. Apparently you don't understand how the system works.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Aquarius

You're in a tricky position because someone who is supposed to know what they're talking about seems to be spouting complete nonsense instead. If this is an older friend or relative then you can simply smile politely and wait for them to rejoin the rest of us on Planet Earth. But if it's a boss or bureaucrat who's talking rubbish or giving you some puzzling orders, you'll be in a quandary about what to do.
