JENKS, OK Work is underway on a major construction project in Jenks. ODOT crews are getting rid of a stoplight at U.S. Highway 75 and 111th Street.

It's about time. Those traffic lights should never have been installed in the first place. They have been a pain in the back side from day one. We're all looking forward to their removal.

If only 75 were a turnpike like all the other roads into Tulsa, we wouldn't have this problem, lol

Spending $$$ to put an overpass on a dead end road??? Just eliminate the light and put in extra lanes for turnarounds.

As a driver that goes through this light everyday in the morning and the evening, I personally am very excited to see this work done! This intersection just seems to get worse and worse and the number of accidents is increasing. It will be a mess during construction, but the end result will be well worth it! The Creek Turnpike exits right there and adds even more traffic. 111th is not a dead end road! There are many new neighborhoods going up in the area, including off 121st and further south. For those of us that have to deal with it regularly, we thank ODOT for finally addressing the problem!
