Most sports teams I have ever seen wear colors, as do some of the fans. So does our military forces. Does that constitute being in a "gang"? I think not.

I think ignoring the asinine comments works best. It's not easy, but they think they 'win' with their moronic comments; and you are saved from the aggravation.

In most cases, I would agree with you. However, allowing such behavior to go unchallenged can be construed as being acceptable and will eventually lead to hatred and racism. By permitting them to think they "win" with their comments, will provoke them to do so again. Occasionally we need to be reminded that our rights end at the point where they begin to violate the rights of others.

Occasionally we need to be reminded that our rights end at the point where they begin to violate the rights of others. good point! I always hope there are a 'few' who take the advice or comments and really think about them. I am not so optimistic about others though. Maybe a spreadsheet with the amount of money raised for charity is in order.. They can show theirs and some of the clubs can show theirs. I have a feeling who has donated more.

I think people need to know the difference between a club and an outlaw club. I see the sign but I'm not familiar with the scorpions club. I don't see any evidence that they are a 1% club. If you aren't an outlaw club maybe you could explain to these people exactly what an outlaw MC vs an MC club is. I know christian mc clubs, lawyer mc clubs and police MC, which consists of current and retired police officers. I'm not proof reading this as I'm on my phone so forgive any grammatical errors.

I can't seem him our any of his brotherhood on a message board arguing with another MC. I'm guessing you're one of these wannabe bikers who not only aren't in a club but don't own a bike. Quit playing a tough guy behind a million miles of ethernet. I don't profess to be a member of any club as I just ride, no club. I'm guessing that the Scorpions are just a bunch of guys who ride and started a club. If I'm right or wrong I wish somebody would inform me and not some wannbe outlaw.

He doesn't bother anyone 8 outlaws or 8 scorpions- and did you catch the area they were from. It's easy to mistake different organizations, and easier to publicly cite wrong information.

4 different clubs there, only one Scorpion (our smallest guy, the active military member) actually got involved when he saw his friend being choked by one of the bouncers. Don't even try to pass this off like it was everyone against the owner. I was right there, I know better. The whole thing lasted about a minute. The owner told the guy from another club he had to leave (which he did) and then told the rest of us we should go too (guilt by association, I guess). I'd hardly consider the owner being punched in the nose as being "beat up." We have no problem with the owner, never did, and I'm sure sometime soon we'll figure out what started the whole thing. From what I've learned so far it was some citizen with a camera and one of the other motorcycle clubs. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 2. Seems to me I remember a Wilmington mayor involved in a Catfish Days brawl years back that made this one look like a Boy Scout meeting, so lighten up, Francis. Kenny

Kenny:
I was just reading your post and chuckling to myself about that entire incident with the former Mayor. While I am not a "born and raised Wilmingtonian," I have lived here for the past 33 years. Yes, he did make quite a spectacle of himself and was arrested for his "inappropriate" behavior. It was the talk of the town for a long time afterwards. It also made out town look like a bunch of fools for having elected him.
Just to let you know, I am a new rider of only 2 years and totally love my bike (hubby got it for me for Christmas). I am also a Jr High teacher in a nearby school district and my students love it when I ride my bike to work. I get a lot of teasing from my male students about being a woman rider, but they will brag to their friends that their teacher is "really cool." I have had former students (who are now grown with their own families) tell me that I am officially the most "bad ass" teacher they ever had...LOL
I also want to let you know that I think the things you and your club have done to help out in our community are wonderful. Don't let small minds bother you, they are going to always be there no matter where you establish yourselves.

Kenny I realize this is completely off-topic, but do you have the flier for our annual hospice benefit, sept 8? If not, would you like to post it in your clubhouse? We are shooting for 20k for Joliet community hospice this year. We are all hoping to make Mr. Smith proud.

Punching the owner if an establishment is a 2? What's next? Stabbing the guy? Would that be a 3. The true biker life is somewhat nomadic because trouble seems to follow us around. We sort of invite it. Want to find out what club life of your local MC is? Pay close attention to some of the earned patches on our vests. Says a lot about us. OFFO
