Three men dead after Sunday afternoon accident in McNairy County

Why would you post a story that is factually wrong? These families are going through enough. My thoughts are with them all.

I agree with the facts that you have here in not correct. Please research and get it correct. My prayers are will all the families and friends of these young men and women.

One vehicle crash leaves four dead

The teenage driver is the sole survivor of a one-vehicle crash in McNairy County on Sunday about 3:30 p.m. that resulted in four fatalities.
Initially, three people were killed and two injured, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said.
Fifteen-year-old Chelsey Hart of Saltillo died later at The Med in Memphis, where driver Frank P. Irons, 18, of Michie, was listed in serious condition.
The THP determined that Irons was driving a four-door 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck westbound on Davis Yancey Road at a high rate of speed when it went off the south side of the roadway and struck a tree. The speed limit in the area of the crash is 55 mph.
Also killed were passengers Andrew Lee Waweu, 19, Michie; Ishmael E. Patterson, 29, Rienzi, Miss.; and Kiawasha M. Weatherspoon, 18, Savannah.
Only Weatherspoon and Hart were wearing seat belts, the THP said.

Half fact are as bad as no facts.
Check again. The 19 year old was not driving. The 29 year old was driving. Check with the Tennessee Highway Patrol. A video tape from a store camera clearly show all of the young people about 5 to 10 minutes before the accident. This came to the THP attention yesterday. It shows the 29 year old getting into the driver's side. The other two men and girls getting into the passenger's side. The THP made a mistake in naming the wrong person before investigation was complete. What ever happened to "no comment". "We are investigating. A statement will be made later when our investigating is finished." All the newspapers and TV stations ran with half truths, which is less than factual. Let's see which news media gets it right. My heart goes out to all the families of the young people involved. 2 young men and 2 girls dead.

Who's to say that sometime between that video and the accident they didn't pull over and swap drivers?

i give out love to one of my friends that was in the crash her name was chelsey heart and she was 15 she was a good friend and its crazy how something like this happens so fast and you dont even see it comen i give out love to her family also

I was there at the accident. The driver was Mr.Irons. There is no possible way from the position of the other 4 passengers that he could not have been the driver. The witness that came from the home the accident happened in front of even verified that they were comforting Mr.Irons in the driver seat of the vehicle as he was in great pain. The 29 year old died instantly and was in a position that made it impossible to have been the driver. I assisted with the extrication of all 4 passengers. They were all trapped in the area they were seated. So was the driver. He was trapped in the driver's seat. It is impossible to get thrown from one seat and into another and then get pinned in the position he was in. Mr.Irons was in the driver's seat before, during, and after the accident. Trust me.
