I'm so glad I checked this thread! I didn't even know there was a new Mexican Restaurant on Pickwick? Are they as good as La Pot? We took the kids to P3 a while back. They loved it but there wasn't much for my 6 year old to do.

yes, i love the new mexican! the cheese dip has a little spicy flavor to it, not too hot, but a nice extra. the food is great too, and when you leave there you dont have that "i just ate mexican" smell.=)
p3 has now added 2 inflatable water slides outside that i am hearing great things about. your 6yr old may enjoy lazer tag, my almost 4 yr old finally got brave enough to try it, and he loved it!!!! just explain that you wear a vest and carry a toy gun that shines a light like a flashlight and you try to light up the other peoples vest and that when someone lights you up, your vest tickles you. good luck and have fun!! |

I don't live there, but have been there many times, had a good friend there who has now passed on, still have some family there. I live in the arkansas flatlands, so to come to Hardin county is like a breath of fresh air! I really do love it there & can't wait to come back. I love the hills, creeks, scenery, visiting cemeteries to find family buried there, shiloh, the river. I used to love going across the ferry at Saltillo.
Hardin county will always have a special place in my heart, it feels like home to me. |

I'm so glad you love it here. I have lived in Savannah for 20 years now, came here at my mom's insistence that I needed to be close to her and her family and I still feel like a fish out of water. I wish it would feel like home to me, since there isn't a snowball's chance I will be going anywhere in this lifetime, LOL.

I just want to post how proud I am to live in this town. I have always loved being close to that river! We enjoy our weekends relaxing on the weekend every chance we get. I lived in a big city for so long, I forgot how to truly relax. After I met my husband & moved here, I think the clock has been turned back a few years. I find it soothing to live in a small town so close to God's beauty. Who needs a church, when we spend our time surrounded in His presence floating down the TN river on our pontoon, is what we say. I guarantee we appreciate Him more absorbing His creation on Sunday mornings than many of those bench warmers. Not slamming the church-goers by any means, but we have been there, done that, too. I think our church is within the soul that allows Our Father to enter. And, trust me, He has remained in mine for many years & I give Him all the praise & glory as I enjoy His work. Have a blessed day. |

I love the river as well, have a pontoon and agree that God's beautiful creations should be enjoyed and admired..on the other hand....
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries" (Hebrews 10:23-27). |
