Just wondering

Please dont leave nasty remarks on here about this.I have two children that are disabled they where born with medical problems and they need help with money and my help everyday of there life.But the guestion is I am about to get married and a couple of people are telling me that my childrens
checks will be based on my soon to be husband.He is not there biological father.Can anyone tell me if they can do this.Maybe they might be someone who knows how this works.I really need some info on this.Please no nasty remarks my children are disabled and they need 24 hour care.

I'm almost postive that is correct . 99.9 % sure.
The kids checks are based on the income that is in the home. No matter who brings it in, Even if you were working their check would be based on your income and after a certain allowance (I'm not sure what amount that is ..Then they start cutting the kids checks.) Hope this is helpful and good luck.

Yes there check will be cut, and if your husband to be makes a good amount it will be cut out all together.

As far as I know you could get a job today and their checks will not be affected. That only applies to adults who receive benefits. The rules for child/adult benefits are quite different. You should call the office and ask them, I am sure you could remain anonymous. I am pretty sure I am right though, but if I'm not, believe me marriage is just a piece of paper, not worth it lol .
