"Mineville" film to premiere

Well, my best wishes to this team. The difficult task is to find a distributor. If that succeeds it will at least be available to many viewers.

If no distributor surfaces, the movie could be sold direct via the internet as well as direct to DVD.

I saw the premiere screening of Mineville. I know the town and the people of Moriah are proud to have a movie made about their history. I also know many people donated a lot of time, energy and resources to getting it made.

However, I am disappointed in the writer. The story and characters were very underdeveloped. Story lines were confusing and plots point dropped. The people of Mineville deserved better.

The life of Miners is much better depicted in the film Matewan, which won an Academy Award. Rent it from Netflix and you will have a much better understanding of the life of a mining family.

Any ideas when it'll come out. I would think that local theaters would promote this one.

I heard that this here picture show was well liked in Lake Placid, but not so well liked in Moriah! Nobody in Lake Placid ever mined before! People in Moriah did though! They lived it! They say it ain't even close to how it really was! True stories never come out the way they happened! It was certainly a tough way of life fer sure! I'd like to see Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford and Angelina Jolie and some others in a movie like this, only tell it the way it was, not how you want it to be, or how you think it was! If you showed how it really was, it would be six or seven hours long! It should be a mini series! What do you think?

ths is the second time that this Person was supposed to make a movie on Minevulle.
A few years ago she used the old mines, had several local people as actors, lived in a house in ti for nothing, was involved with the curator at fort crown point and scammed a lot of money from LOCAL people, i am sure we will never see it again and now she is back again. How many of you invested in the movie? I got a t shirt for a $15,000.00 investment.

her grandfather lived there/ My father was actually a miner and i was taken in by her scam.

It's going to be showed again this week at the school for those who missed the first showing.
