'Puppy Mill' Crackdown with Arrest Made

This is true i bought a dog in that area (CC PETS LLC in Peach Bottom,PA) from a lady with lots of dogs and mine was very ill. It is a pug and i took her to the vet and she had many problems involving surgery. The lady is known as the pink mail box because thats how she gives you directions. she NEEDS to be shut down!!!!!!!!

The sick dogs that come from those mills wind up in pet stores on Long Island. NY and NJ are the largest consumers of store bought dogs. My friend bought a dog from a store called shake a paw and it cost her $3,000 in vet bills. If she brought the dog back to the store, it probably would have died.

This lady has been shut down many times, and was fined many times. She reopens time and time again. If you hear she is open again.. Please Contact the Attorney General and The Consumer Protection Department..

This woman needs to be treated like she treats her animals... She gives good breeders bad names.

I reported her for a bum dog she sold me. she not only lied about the breed but ripped me off on the price too.

She was in on the NEWS.... Lets shut her down again ONCE AND FORE ALL>>>

I sure hope she is not able to re-open any where else either.
Those type of people should be forced to live the same way they make their animals live. maybe this kind of stuff would stop if we where a bit harder on them.

I bought a min pin from her and she gave me papers stating that this puppy was healthy and free of any infections or dieseases, but to find out we spend $500 on a sick puppy with cocsitia, that lady didnt even let us pick a puppy out, she went to the back of the kennel and grabed by the neck and handed it to me. Right there and then i thought this isnt right for me to purchase something like this,but i felt soo bad for the puppy i did anyways! If theres any way to get back at this lady let me know!!!!

Please tell everyone you know that if you buy a puppy from a pet store you have bought a puppy mill puppy.
Please google puppy mills and look at how these dogs suffer.

I had been looking for an American Eskimo and noticed a classified ad in the Phila Enquirer and called. I thought I was driving up to a family in PA and got to Peach Bottom on March 2. There were hundreds of crying puppies, they did not appear to be 8 weeks as she told me, but younger. They all looked sick and as if never seen daylight. Some sucked the nipples of homeless dogs that were hanging around. I heard so many puppies crying and the adults barking as if begging to be freed. I was horrified. She is still in business and still selling puppies. I honestly do not know what to do. The website is still active www.ccpetsllc.com , you can call for puppy availability or with questions. I am now buying from a reputable breeder and in the past bought dogs from puppy stores. Never again, you must see (and hear) to believe. Also, please pray that the dogs and puppies will be freed and taken from this environment.

How about calling the SPCA in that county? From what I am reading PA seems to be taking all of this very seriously now. They just might investigate her.

GO to the website for CAPS (Companion Animal Protection Society). There is a whole bunch of stuff about the Stoltzfus selling dogs. You can file a complaint with them as well.

I would write a letter to the attorney general and cc Governor Rendell. Tell them that this woman has been fined before, had her license taken away and she is still in business. The attorney generals number for complaints regarding Joyce Stoltzfus is 1 800 441 2555.

I would also send a copy of the letter to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

I just called an ad out of the paper, and it was this CCpets kennel and she has all kinds of new puppies for sale. I almost went there thil I saw these posts. It's a shame what I am hearing! But I am so glad you all posted a comment warning others!

Its nice to know that there are so many others that are in on this.Now i dont feel so alone. I have been upset about my tiny puppy that died last year on dec. 2nd 06.

on march 2 o6 I purchased a so called teacup poodle. she was sold to me for 848 dollars. the breeder was sharon thompson. i was told that she was sold to me at a higher price because she was a purebred teacup poodle.

with in the first couple of days i had her she had problems. i ended up taking her to the vet she was so sick (not eating diarreah vomiting not moving non responsive body was limp) that the veterenarian said that she needed to be taken to the hospital immediately. she had an iv in her tiny arm and i drove her to the hospital. she barely weighed a pound. i was so so scared and so upset. she was my first dog. she was so small helpless and so sick. i fell in love with her as soon as i got her and i didnt fully understand was going on.i just knew that id do anything to keep her alive and get her better. i picked her up and it was a cycle that went on for months. she had to be given nutrical to keep her from have sugar lows - she had to be given baby food- she had to be given prescribed food - she had to have this medication and that medication- she had to have syrup in her water-- i missed school to take care of her - i had someone watch her if i couldnt- i even took her to work to make sure she got her medicine on time and that she was ok- this went on and on - vet visit after vet visit -- shot after test after shot- problem after problem - we ended up spending about 1200 k on her trying to get her better just to find out that she would die on dec 2 0f 06.id like to let the assholes that sold her to me see what it feels like to hold a 1 pound tiny dog in the palm of your hand and watch their body go limp a living creature suffer that much pain and be that small and that sick...i spent more in trying to get her better than the cost of purchasing her...but at this point its not about the money - even though im only 20 years old and i dont have that kind of money to spend on vet bills - my boyfriend and parents helped me tremendously - im too young to have that kind of money to spend on a little puppy that is that sick and requires immediate veterenary care that requires that much money....just to see her die. im so angry it makes me sick...i thought id be over her and be able to settle ....she died in dec and its now may- and i still have dreams about my tiny friend - i still talk about her- i still cry about her - its not just an animal or a thing- its a companion - a loving sweet companion - that cant hurt your feelings cant put you down cant harm you - they are just there to comfort you and make you happy...how cool is it that God gave us such a great gift as a dog as mans best friend- BUT then to have people like sharon thompson - and joyce and cc pets llc take that away by being greedy evil ugly hearted people with no compassion or remorse whatsoever is disgusting and i will stay angry until they are through torturing these innocent puppies and decieving many of those who only seek out a puppy to love and hold.

I am sick and horrified. Should I have known CC Pets was the Puppy Love place I saw on the news I would not have gone there. We just purchased a pocket puggle from her on Saturday and thank God our puppy is healthy. She just got a clean bill of health. Something did not fit right with me about Joyce and the whole scenario. I just had a chance to google it and am absolutely horrified that I purchased a dog from her. Luckily my dog has now been saved, but when I think about all of those others poor dogs still there. I am scared to think about what may happen to my dog, will she get sick and have problems? I am worried sick now that she is not going to be healthy. We thought the place was rather bizarre, the way they have all of these dogs penned up, and then when you want to look at them they take them outside to a pen. The puppies were acting funny and when I asked why they were not running around we were told "this is the first time they have been out". They were eight weeks old!

How can she still be in business and continue to sell dogs! This is horrifying. Should we call and report that she is still operating???

I'm just reading all of this for the first time and I'm absolutely horrified!! I saw an ad in my local paper (Frederick County, MD) for puppies and normally would have just picked up the phone and called. Something told be to look up the kennel name. I'm SO glad I did!! Thanks to ALL of you who have taken the time to inform those of us who otherwise would have NO clue!

Thanks So much for this info. We were looking for a Goldendoodle and called her. She returned my message and we were supposed to go there tommorrow to get a dog. Thanks I definitely will not be going there.
She does need to be shut down.

I bought a boxer puppy from Joyce. What's wrong with buying a puppy from her, mine seems to be doing just fine.
