Burke Co Landfill

If you pay for the use of the burke co. landfill then you should keep reading. Let's start with equipment that should be out of service, the small packer NO BRAKES! the pan NO BRAKES! and we have to use these on a daily basis. How many burke resident's need a job? Well Mr. Carson Fisher(county engineer) has an employee that has been hired not 1time but 3time's that has not diploma or GED! wich is a requirement for the job. Alan Holcombe make's $29,661 a year, plus overtime. Also the landfill by state law should have a certified landfill operator on site anytime it is open, about every 3rd saturday Daryl Mayo of caldwell co. operates the landfill and is non certified. This relates to the good ole boy system, hire someone that is not qualified for the job just because he is Greg Watts friend.Greg Watts landfill supervisor. So many burke co. resident's out of work and this man has a job that he should not have. So how do you like the way your money is being spent? Is this right? It really has me mad! I think Mr. Fisher, and Mr.Watts should resign for misuse of their office to hire a person that does not have a diploma or GED! And Alan Holcombe should be let go and made to pay back every cent he has recieved from the county. Please if you agree contact the county manager Mr.Steen, also let your congressman know how dissatified you are about this. The county manager already know's we just need more people to complain to him to make thing's right. Thank you and may god bless everyone.

Dam straight i've known Mr.Carson Fisher for many years and he is a POS!! How did he get that job? He need's to be investigated and removed from that position. I will do my part first thing in the morning i will be placing a phone call to Mr. Steen along with one to the county comissioners. My voice will be heard.There should not be any faulty equipment,I pay to much in taxes for that and we will have to pay a lot more if someone get's hurt. DISGRACE that's what it is.

You're torn up because a county employee makes 30 grand a year? That is no money for an employee anywhere. I make that in five months of course I do have an education but where's the education needed when all you're responsible for is covering up trash. Sounds as though you've lost your job or on a personal vedetta. Holcombe is not the brightest bulb on the tree, you should leave him alone. He's only trying to make a living and have enough left over for beer money. Please don't use God's name in post like this, you're only making a fool of youself and are an embarrasment to Christians everywhere.

i understand where you are coming from, we have to many qualified citizens out of work in burke co. that have degrees and this man has nothing! how did he get hired? look at a burke co. application they ask for you to have a diploma/ged. if he wants to keep his job then he should go get his ged. and yes i will be calling the county manager about this i want answers of how he got hired.

Yes i agree, Alan Holcombe is a liar,drunk and dumbass! But how did he get this position without a diploma/ged? NO ONE ELSE CAN!!! Someone need's to look into this, i for one will be writing to the county comissioners if that dosent work then i will write my congress man! This is way out of line,burke co. has lot's of people out of work that has the correct credential's for the job. The Dept.of labor will be interested in this i'm sure.

this is whats wrong with this world today.to many busy bodies just like little children want to know what everyone else is doing or has done so they can run and tell someone.shame on you little children.
