Deputy's Gunfire 'Looks Terrible,' Says Sheriff; D.A. Awaits FB...

Simply amazing because there is no requirement for the San Bernardino District Attorney or the Sheriff's department to wait for the F.B.I. to complete their report to arrest Deputy Ivory Webb. The prima facie evidence and probable cause to arrest the Deputy is overwhelming. The Deputy should have been arrested and allowed to bail just like every one else who commits a Felony. Failing to arrest Deputy Ivory Webb by the District Attorney and the San Bernardino Sheriff's department is inexplicable and a total mockery of the criminal justice system. If this is not corruption I do not know what is! We all should be outraged because it could have been our innocent son or daughter shot by that criminal cop. We all should demand the immediate arrest of the suspect Deputy and allow the criminal justice system to resolve this matter; not the cops!

I AGREE COMPLETELY....IT HAS BEEN TWO WEEKS SO THE SHERIFF CAN JUST MOVE ON TO THE NEXT SHOOTING.....I CAN GUARANTEE THAT MIKE RAMOS WILL NOT CHARGE THE DEPUTY WITH ANYTHING....THIS IS THE MOST CORRUPT COUNTY IN CALIFORNIA, AND THEY JUST PROTECT THIS KIND OF ACTIVITY..iT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT NO SHERIFF HAS EVER BEEN CHARGED WITH AN UNLAWFUL SHOOTING,,,,, THE D A CALLS THESE SHOOTINGS UNFORTUNATE, MISTAKES OR JUSTIFIED

That is why I MOVED OUT OF CALIFORNIA because THE POLICE are like that there, they can do what ever they want and get away with IT. I owned a home in Riverside county and I sold it and MOVED, BUT most people have no chose and are not able to do so....

Having said that and wanting to keep this forum with an appropriate level of diatribe and stimulating rhetoric may I suggest that you do everything possible to have Deputy Ivory Webb transfer to Alhambra so that maybe he can shoot one of your loved ones too. Maybe then you will understand our concerns about this dangerous Deputy.

The San Bernardino deputy who shot the airman was attempting to fake a self defense call. If you listen to the tape, you can hear the deputy key his radio and say "shots fired, shots fired" The deputy is advising dispatch and in coming officers that a suspect is firing, under the department operating procedures. Someone please pass this information to the DA's Office,as wellas the Sheriff of San Bernardino who is still trying to defend the actions of the deputy.

Webb wore a dark suit and spoke only once during Wednesday's arraignment, saying, "Yes, your honor," after the judge asked a question about waiving his right to a speedy preliminary hearing. San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Michael A. Smith rejected a defense motion to reduce Webb's $100,000 bail to $50,000, noting he had previously reduced the bail from $175,000. However, because Webb surrendered voluntarily, the judge gave him until 4 p.m. Friday to be booked and post bail.

Webb is scheduled to appear again in court April 28 for a status conference on the case.

For those who are interested please note that a criminal court hearing was postponed until may 23, 2006 in San Bernardino Superior Court for Deputy Ivory Webb who shot the unarmed military police officer.
