Do you want the city reduce YOUR heat bill and just ask MEAG or the Gas provider to reduce the city's bill out of the kindness of their heart?? If you use energy SOMEBODY has to pay for it!!!!!

Maybe some other nice energy customers and taxpayers will pay your bill for you, since it is only you guys in Grantville that are having a hard time in this economy.(And yet somehow you manage to pay for internet access....)

Hey! Here's an idea...get out some blankets!!!

I agree, if we eliminated the middle man [the city of g'ville] and bought directly, then our bills would be cheeper!!!

I must say that I agree with Korncob, our power bills have become astronomical in comparison with our neighboring towns. For peats sake we do not live in Senoia, Sharpsburg or even Turin we live in the little backwoods, hillbilly, ignorant, incestual town of Grantville.

In response to Joe, obviously you have no clue what a fixed income is, most of our retired community is on a fixed income and can not spare to have anymore of their monthly income robbed from them because this town has always been under horrific control and we are now having to pay the expense to clean up the mess via our utility bills. I am certain that Korncob was not insinuating that MEAG should lower her bill or have taxpayers take up the slack. I am in my thirties, work full-time for a very reputable corporation making a fair wage and I like Korncob feel something has got to give. I believe that best resolution would just be to do away with the city charter as 'just like to know" mentioned.

Unfortunately, I can not say that I am glad to see the change, perhaps it is because it is not entirely change just musical chairs with the same players repeating the game. As for our newly elected councilwoman I just keep thinking of the famous phrase, only I would change the end to Grantville City Council (Past, Present & Future): In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm, and three or more is a congress.- John Adams

Hey Joe! Here's an idea...Stick out your thumb, sit on it and spin, after doing so how about you take those blankets and shove them where a proctologist will have to remove them!

Another wind bag and co-conspirator with Roach-elle is just what ya'll needed!

The same ten percent of voters just keep recirculating the same old worn out, one-minded, old battleaxes over and over and over and over...

...nothing ever changes for the betterment of Grantville!

There was not a very good selection to choose from in this election. I believe people voted the best they could under the choices they were given.Let us give the ones elected a chance and hope that Jabaley will change her ways, because I do not see her being so lucky next time.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Sagittarius

You'll feel friendly with everyone you meet today, and you might even be lucky financially. Money should be coming in, but going out rather fast as well... Astral influences will keep you on your toes, and will probably make you flirtatious, but they could also make you moody. This makes it tricky for close relationships to run on an even keel. The truth is, perhaps you don't want too much closeness at the moment. Your partner probably knows that you're often like this, by now, anyway.
