aww, you mean you cant exploit horses anymore by pytting them tracks before their leg joints are fully formed and hardened so you can destroy them and then turn them out to pasture (at a dogfood co.) darn.... maybe we could have the legislators and governor run around the track and who wins gets their law passed... now that would be entertainment!

Like horse racing or not, if the track goes, so go a couple hundred jobs. I wonder how hard it is for jockeys to learn black-jack dealing?

This is a STUPID ARGUMENT! These are two seperate ways of losing your money!
(Unless they're planning on having Horse Racing between the tables at the Casino! God! What a mess!)

I don't know about anyone else but my husband and I use the slots in WV while we are waiting for the races to start. I don't think it is going to hurt the industry by having casinos. If someone is at the casino they can play whatever games they wish and if they are at the racetrack they can use the slots before or after the races. The idea of opening the casinos in OH can only improve our tourism and that will never be a bad thing in this economy. Thank you.

I AM GETTING SO TIRED OF THE CRY BABIES AT THE RACE TRACKS, IF YOUR BUSINESS CAN'T STAND ON IT'S OWN, THEN YOU CLOSE. I HAPPEN TO BE IN RETAILING. I WORRIED WHEN THEY BUILT GREAT NORTHERN MALL AND CROCKER PARK, BUT, I HAD TO MAKE SURE MY CUSTOMERS KEPT COMING BACK BY GIVING THEM VALUE AND G R E A T SERVICE. I WONDER HOW MUCH THE RACE TRACKS GIVE TO ELECT AND REELECT THEIR POLITICAL "FRIENDS"? IF THE RACE TRACKS FAIL (I DON'T REALLY THINK THEY WILL) THEN WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH NEED FOR THEM, OR THEY WOULD HAVE MADE IT. ENTERTAINMENT DOLLARS (ARTS,SPORTS,LOTTERY,ZOOS,CASI NOS, HORSE RACING,HALL OF FAMES, MUESEUMS et all) WILL ONLY SUPPORT SO MUCH. I TRAVEL TO VEGAS A FEW TIMES A YEAR, THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY HORSE RACE TRACKS THERE, BUT, THEY SURE BET ON HORSE RACING. THE TRACKS ARE USUALLY IN A WARM WEATHER CITY WHERE RACING CAN HAPPEN ALL YEAR. TRACK OWNERS-MAKE YOUR BUSINESS BETTER-ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE IN ANY BUSINESS. GOV. STRICKLAND IT'S NICE OF YOU TO TRY TO HELP YOUR FRIENDS.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Capricorn

You're in an industrious mood but you'll be happiest if you can be left to your own devices as much as possible. It's not that you're feeling unfriendly, simply that you won't be able to concentrate very well if you're surrounded by lots of people. If you haven't even started writing your Christmas cards yet, try to remedy that at some point today.
