My daughter was killed by a drunk driver in texas 1 month ago.I heard about this story because it was posted on my daughters website. I feel so sad that this has become such a racial issue! The man that hit my daughter was a not hispanic. And it doesnt matter. What matters is my daughter is dead because of a sick epidemic. Do you all know that this happens every 39 min. Every 39 min people, someone is being killed by a drunk driver!!! We should all be looking for a way to heal this sick legalized drug that is killing people every day! I pray that none of you who are being negative about this ever have to go through what we and the Moss family are going through!! Because i have realized life is short!Nothing will EVER bring my baby back! But I know that God is in control!! We need to take a stand for these beautiful girls who's lives were taken way to early and maybe... just maybe we can lessen the amount of teens killed by DRUNK DRIVING!! My daughter was the most loving and giving person I have ever known...and we will work to keep her memory alive...even if it saves just one!!

Hector Ortiz is not an illegal Hispanic. He is actually a legal Puerto Rican who was born in the United States. I know this because I have met him. He is a close friend of my Fiance's best friend. He is a good person who has made a terrible mistake that he will carry for the rest of his life.

That is so sad that you lost your baby girl to someone that thought it was OK to get behind the wheel of a car and drive drunk, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It is a great thing you are doing Keeping your beatiful daughter in the thoughts of everyone with the help of a website, you are so right IF it will help save another person from being killed at the hands of a Drunk. Drunk driving has become socially acceptable and that's not right, people should be mad as hellll, they have no problem waving the smoke away as they pass a person smoking and make a nasty comment yet they see someone leaving a party, the sports bar, the stadium or a restaurant and say nothing about them drinking...I wonder how many people saw either of these 2 men getting into that car drunk and said nothing to them or tried to stop them from driving, it would have saved a life is someone said "what if" and stopped either one of them from starting their car..... You are very right we need to find a way to stop it, MADD does nothing until after a tragedy has already happened...any suggestions on how to stop these drunk drivers? Again I am sorry for your Loss. |

Don't blame it on the immigrants. We have plenty of generations of Americans drinking themselves into a stupor and then driving. Stupidity is an equal-opportunity plague. We need to come down hard on DUIs so that if they're going to drink themselves into oblivion, at least they don't get behind the wheel of a car. I don't care if they hurt themselves from their own idiocy, but it pisses me off that innocent people get murdered every day by these pieces of crap. |

I am very curious about this - recently there was a drunk driver - white guy that hit a wagon that being pulled by the parents - the children were 1 and 2 or something like that - hispanic - the little boy was thrown out of the wagon so he suffered some scrapes and bruising but survived - the little girl was strapped into the wagon and was not so lucky - she was dragged for a distance and was killed. The parents were not illegals before all you heartless bafoons start on the race issue.
Why is it that the white girl killed by a Puerto Rican drunk driver gets all kinds of outrage and an innocent hispanic child out with her parents for a walk on a nice day does not? Because the drunk driver that killed the child was WHITE had he been hispanic everybody would have their panties in a knot about drunk drivers. How people can easily turn a blind eye is amazing. The loss was the same the family lost a daughter to a senseless accident. |
