I was let go in my store and now I see that PSA positions were eliminated. The talk over the last 6 months in the manager meetings was about the possibility of all fulltime workers except the department managers and sales specialists would be demoted to part time. Lowe's like most American companies have absolutely NO loyalty to their workers and management teams. It is all about the green. Full time jobs are disappearing and being replaced with part time. This is a major cause for our economic troubles.
Expect sometime soon for there to be a resurgence with UNIONS. All companies are scared of the possibility, yet they are pushing their employees in that direction. You want job protection, contact a local union such as the UFCW, United Food and Commercial Workers. God Bless and Good Luck to everyone left at Lowes.
