small town justice is finally (hopefully) catching up with galen. everyone who's brave enough to say it knows he's guilty.(dna evidence!) let's just hope he gets what he deserves. unbelievably, the town office is asking other officers to "donate their vacation time" to galen because his administrative leave has expired. what a joke.

After 911 the world praised the police departments, firfighters and the military for standing for what is good about out community and our nation and how we all should look up to these public figures. I think it's bs what's going on with Galen if it was anyone else they would be in jail by now. Galen use to follow me around in his cruiser, he is very ignorant and deserves to be punished. I do believe that Galen had relations with Miss Mary Ann but I know him and have known him for many years and there is not one single doubt that he did not force her to do anything. is it not possible to have a dirty cop(s) in small town wv? how bored do you people think the cops of moorefield or other similar places must get? ive personally known miss groves for almost a decade and she is clearly a person of good character who would never bring these allegations unless they were 100%true. if anything shes been a giving, thoughtful friend through the years and never has tried to manipulate me. all you reel supporters keep thinking the cops in your town, or any town are trustworthy. there will be more people going down for this crime than just galen.

Galen took the original plea because the first cheap ass lawyer that he hired didnt want to do any work to prepare for the case so he convinced Galen to take the plea. That "lawyer" is now under investigation by the ethics board. He did him dirty to get something for nothing.

I happened to stumble upon this interesting discussion and had to take a moment to add in my 2 cents.

1. Galen has never denied the fact that he had relations with Miss Groves. I can see why he would deny it if it did though. We all have our momentary lapses of sanity and she happened to come along in his moment. He has always denied that he forced her. She was a willing participant and there is no legal wrong in that.

2. Force is what the issue is here. Apparently "Richard" you have no leg to stand on in your arguements against Galen if this has not been proven. You are going by nothing more than what she says happened. We could play he said, she said all day long but the bottom line is that he will be punished or NOT punished based on whether there is solid proof that Mr Reel did in fact FORCE Miss Groves into sexual acts.

3. There are tons of people in Moorefield and the surrounding areas supporting Mr Reel. The only negative comments have come from low lives that have either been arrested by Mr Reel or know someone who has. Its human nature for people to kick someone while they are down. Anyone with any social status in the community have poured out their support to him. Its not likely that the court system would let any low lives through to the jury pool so I think he will be ok.

4. Yea, sounds totally believable. Galen held her against her will with a gun and a dog on main street and forced her to touch him with hundreds of cars went by. Perhaps all of those people who drove by should be on trial for ignoring this as they drove by! It's funny that you say she was in the car becaus ethe police report states that the "completin of the sexual act took place outside the vehicle" Right on main street for the whole town to see.
