Going further on the Arrows nickname - a play on that: Aeros. Still use the insignia of a "X" with two arrows but Aeros also says it's a team that moves forward. It also has some connotations of airplane and homage to the flight industry that has been a popular sector in Oklahoma.

Oh this is fun.
Watch this: Aeros gives the implications of having an “air of invincibility”. Aeros because OKC is “progressive,”“moves foward”(I said that already). Those are definite executive terms.

What do all of you think? You are right the Sonic name doesn't fit. However, isn't Land Runner a steal from the "Sooners." I like the name "Boomers." You've got the Mountain Boomer reptile and Oil Boomers and Boomer Sooners. You could also go with a "Cowboys-like name"

Why do all of you want a name that the country will make fun of? Oklahoma has been seen by the majority of the country as a "hickville." This is our best chance to prove them wrong. I say Thunder, Wind, Energy or Barons. BTW. A Baron is nothing more than any male oil investor. A female investor is a Baroness.
