Linsi was the kind of person who walked through the hallway at school, and you knew right then and there she had so much going for her and you could tell she was so full of life, energy, and hope. But that one day changed, murder is no accident, i don't understand how someone so beautiful could be killed in such a HORRIBLE way. Death doesn't hit my hometown of Montpelier very often, but when it does its always a shock. Linsi was not only a person that i loved just to talk to but she was also on my track team and she was and amazing athlete. Mr. Wilson our track coach apprciated Lisni so much and it was just a devistasion to him, i remember the day at school we found out, he broke down and just started crying and to me ( the way i was brought up) to see that was the worst feeling in the world knowing that he loved Linsi so much just made all that was going on that day 10X worse. No one diserves to feel the pain that Linsi's family is her friends teachers coaches everyone if feeling. Even 8months after her murder i look at the pictures and still cry thinking that someone so full of life can be taken by someone so, so.....
theres not even a word to describe what needs to be said about him. People make mistakes, yes, but murder, no, murder is not a MISTAKE. Linsi E. Light .. you will always be missed and loved. never forgotten and always in our hearts. your beatifull personallity will be something that lives forever in all of us! |

I know it's a bit late to write something on this but I just wanted to say Linsi was a great person and even though I didn't know her well she was a fantastic person and beautiful inside and out.

There is more to this incident, and Lima will always keep its secrets. |

i went to the same school with linsi. i never talked to her, but i remember seeing her a few times. i didn't know her as a person, but i'm sure she was a good person. she was so beautiful and had a good head on her shoulders. ricky deserves to stay in prison for the rest of his life. he shoud never be allowed to have freedom again for what he did to her.

How many of you knew that Linsi's mother was a drug addict?
I find it highly odd unless it was not reported in the articles that the neighbors' of Linsi called her father first and not the police when they heard noise or a gun go off. But living in Lima, I am sure at the time those folks learned to mind their own business if they did not want to be harmed and learned to "see nothing". Apparently there was some evidence that was not allowed in the trial about this young couple's relationship and how it was carried on. I read that in the Lima news when the defense tried to submit evidence and was not allowed. Another was why didn't the young lady let the school, where she was attending about the situation that way they could of HELPED her in dealing with the young man. What the young man did was not right, but, when you have family members who have been into or are doing drugs sometimes it is the innocent who are not into drugs are the ones who pay the price for the addiction. Just recently in the last couple of years I was told about my cousins' involvement with drugs and how it might affect my family and other relatives. I am afraid this was just tip of the iceberg for many families here and surrounding counties. |
