I haven't been feeling like my old self, since yesterday, when in a moment of anger, with someone who dared to disagree i let slip the fact that i think nam draftees were trash.i don't feel bad that i think this way,i feel bad that people now know the depth of my distain for those to poor to avoid getting drafted and sent to nam.

My meds are doing it again.Damn they make me look stupid.Oh well, back to looking down my nose at the little people,or better yet trashing former draftees.I wonder what the rules are in an online disagreement?Does only one side get to decide what the code of conduct is,or is the other side allowed to put in his 2cents?Is posting under anothers name really any different then posting and making the name look almost like anothers?Do i get to call people fools or idiots and expect them to throw praise my way? When i call people that were drafted during the Viet-Nam war trash,do i act surprised when they react.?It's a tough question.

Maybe if people wouldn't be so quick to enage in name calling when somone disagrees with them, the internet would be a better place to discuss things. But people are to quick to call others names, that they wouldn't say in person. It's called the courage of the anonomous. As for myself I have had enough of topix and will not be back.So go back to trashing vets and any others who disagree.

Of course only one side gets to decide the code of conduct, and when you pay your fair share, you will, too! Pay your taxes; Massena ObamaFailure is alive, but not well!

This should increase ridership for Buses and Trains:

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)— A legal fight over freedom of speech is spilling into New York’s subway tunnels. A sign about “Jihad” is set to debut next week. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says it crosses the line, but a judge disagrees.

WCBS 880′s Paul Murnane On The Story

On the region’s subways and buses, most ads we see don’t get much attention. But that may change with a pro-Israel ad that will soon grace MTA property which reads:“In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat jihad.”

The ad is a clear swipe against radical Muslims.

“It’s going to create problems for no reason, you know?” Maguid El Ghazzawi of Astoria told CBS 2’s Sean Hennessey on Wednesday night.

At a Manhattan Mosque, not all were pleased with the fact the ad will soon go public.

“It is negative, not positive,” Harlem’s Abdus Khan said.

“I think it is something stupid. For somebody they are very ignorant,” El Ghazzawi said.

For almost a year, the MTA fought the running of the ad, saying the words “savage” and “jihad” demean a group, but in the lawsuit a federal judge ruled that barring the ad violated the First Amendment and the “….fundamental importance of the free flow of ideas…”

“What the court said,‘no demeaning’ is too general a phrase,” said Leon Friedman, a constitutional law expert at Hofstra University.“Government just can’t say ‘I like this ad, I don’t like that ad.’ They just can’t do that.”

While the MTA said its hands are tied, the ad’s sponsor celebrated the victory.

“Political speech is the most protected speech,” said Pamela Geller of the American Freedom Defense Initiative.

Geller said the ad isn’t anti-Muslim, but a response to an anti-Israeli ad the MTA ran last year.

Unions have their place, but in many cases, they have overstepped their original intent and place. Unions should not be running the countries government through their paid politicians!
But given the direction of the Republican Party and Right to Work States, it will not take long to go back to abusive work places! No more 40 hour work week, no more over time, no more sick days, no more vacation, no more lunch hour, no more health insurance and so on. Becareful what you ask for, you might just get it and not like it!

Yep those nasty unions. All they did for us was to provide a 40 hour work week, paid vacations, a tolerable living wage, ridding us of child labor exploitation, safer and better working conditions and I could go on.
I might suggest, that is if you are capable of comprehension, that you read a few chapters of a book by John Spargo called "The Bitter Cry of Children". Now to make it easier for the likes of you, you don't have to read the whole book, most chapters are 3 or 4 pages long, detailing the ordeals children went through as part of the work force. Don't know where to get the book? Try the Mid York Library. You do know what a library is, don't you?
Indeed. That's the impression I have as well. New York Rapper

RFD,unions saved American workers from corp. thugs. That's why repukes want to destroy them, and put out so much bull shit, for their dimwitted dupes to believe. Most of these anti-unionists have never even heard of the Triangle Fire,The Bethlehem Steel strike massacre,The lethal Alcoa strike, the Anaconda copper mine strike,or any of the other acts of courage, union members displayed to make life better for the people of today. It took guts to strike, when you knew company goons and police were going to try to beat you into a bloody pulp, and kill your family in the bargain if they had too.Books will do no good, they are either too lazy to read them,or do not have the skills to comprehend what they read.
