Face it, you're in a flood plain. Move your business to higher ground. It isn't good for your "economy" or for the environment to be located in such a site. The river will continue to flood every year, and folks who live in or do business in flood plains will just drive up the cost of overall resources utilized each time it floods: civil rescue, repair work and insurance costs for replacement of facilities.

As an employee of this restaurant, I would have to say moving this business to "higher ground" would definitely defeat the purpose of the name of our establishment: RIVERSIDE. Just because the restaurant is located at a low point on the Tippy, doesn't mean is it going to flood every year.

I would like to know WHY all of a sudden there is so much flooding below these damns. I've lived here since 1989 and don't remember things flooding like they have in the past 2yrs. I'm convinced that who ever is in charge the damns aren't doing a very good job. It's like "oh my god the water is rising open up the gates full blast and let the water out." We're on Freeman and our pier has NEVER been under water before till last year. I'm not gripping about that...it just the gates should have been open alittle way before flood waters ever to the damn on Shaffer. Something just isn't right!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Leo

You're really on the ball today so there's no danger of anyone tricking you or fobbing you off with lame excuses. If you suspect that a loved one is hiding something from you, you'll want to question them in a lot of detail. That's all very well but try not to turn it into the third degree, nor to make them feel hounded or bullied by your desire to know what's going on.
