Someone needs to investigate the civil liberties that are being infringed upon by Montgomery General Hospital. It is of popular belief that certain employees are being condemned because of how they are voicing their opinion on popular social networks about Montgomery General Hospital. Where are his/her Civil Liberties? OK for some background information: Montgomery General Hospital is in a year long dispute over their union/management contract. They recently voted to strike. Yes, it is that bad. However, an international representative from Pittsburgh came down here and presented to the CEO a choice. That choice being a 6 month extension or strike (which they had already voted to do). Of course, what is the CEO going to do? The hospital is presenting to the union that they are going to only cover half of what they used to cover in medical expenses, but they are going to charge twice what they are currently charging. They are even going to cut out vision and dental coverage. They are a hospital, how hard would it be to give reasonably priced medical coverage. Of course, I could understand why the employees would not seek medical attention at Montgomery. The patient care there is horrible. The management group recently extended their video surveillance for “security” however, this security system, which is extended to patient care locations, is accessible at certain employee’s homes. Yes, so when you walk into the ER, take a good look at the surveillance cameras and smile, because the entire community could know that you are there. HIPAA?

yep, I agree, HIPPA is a big problem there, especially in Dr Hawkins office. I know this for a fact, I overhear a employee tell a person working in a store that their signifant other had a particular bacteria. HIPPA violation, I hope they sue, I will be a witness. The girls in Dr Hawkins office talk about patients and what they have, very unprofessional

I was seen at Montgomery General last winter and spent several days admitted and they couldnt find out what was wrong with me. After giving me several bags of blood and long nights of hospital stay with my IV machine beeping all night without a nurse coming in all night to turn the damn thing off. Funny thing is after all this trouble I ended up just having pneumonia! I think to correct the issues at Montgomery they need to replace management and then do the fine tuning! I know several employees that work there and I have to say they are about the best people you can want to meet

I am thankfulthat Montgomery ER has Dr Priddy and
Dr Jackson. Both are excellent Doctors and I am
thankful for the way they treated my loved ones.

Dr Priddy is the only one in the er who is professional,Dr Jackson is a D###! He was out and out rude to one of my family members who was very ill. I was there, i reported it to the administration and i never received a call back. they don't care, I guess they will take notice when I sue them for his actions!!!!

The biggest problem at MGH is administration, that is where the cutting needs to start but instead they hired another pencil carrier, Lisa McCloud who said she was hired to build MGH back, please, just another hire salaried waste. The only one who earns her money in administration and is probably paid the least is Diana Barron, In a Hospital getting ready to go under, why so many in administration and wth are they doing..What's up with the Board, why are they not asking these questions,mayb we need a new board also.. Mayb OSHA needs to come inspect some of the Hospital that is reeking of mold and mildew and very unsafe to work in..I feel for the employees that are getting the shaft.. Pathetic

WOW, I heard that CAMC's accountants looked at purchasing MGH.. but it was in such horrible financial shape, they were advised by the accountants that it was not a good investment, so they back off

Yes management needs to be revised or they need to listen to some of their employees that have some better ways to run the hospital-MGH needs to pay their employee medical bills instead of them being turned over to collection and ruining their credit-if the hospital would hire someone to process their employee medical claims instead of paying a 3rd party to process the claims and have a HMO type of plan they could save money in health care cost-also if they would run the nursing home and 2nd floor the correct way financially they could also bring in more money a year-MGH was a good place until they brought in a outsider that took advantage of the small business and trust that was given when "he" come in and took over. Us old employees would like to know where our retirement earning are also-we get the run around everytime we ask for an update-if you were an old employee hired in the 80's the hospital was to vest in your retirement fully but no one seems to know where that money has went.....if anyone knows please comment. CONCERNED EMPLOYEE

the women that work in Dr. Bostic's office are really bad about talking about peoples business. Also they are really rude, I was told by a reliable source that a few women got fired from there for being rude to people. Another thing is that they never give the doctors peoples messages. I just dont understand why they think there job is SOO hard? lol

I personally know some of the girls in Dr. Hawkins office and I know they don't gossip. You must be the gossipper always getting on here and saying things you know nothing about. Come on. Talk about some real gossip at MGH. I know there are other things to gossip about. Undoubtedly, you were eavesdropping and it wasn't any of your business anyway.

Anyway, if you had not been eavesdropping then you would not have heard it anyway. So you need to mind your own business. It is also rude to eavesdrop and then go tell it on topix. Just to let you know the CNAs DO NOT make $13.00, and if they did what is wrong with it. They do a fantastic job they also have a job that is physically demanding to me ALL CNAS are worth their weight in gold because with out them some of the nurses couldn't stay on the phone or go shopping on the internet while on the clock and it is done EVERYWHERE at every HOSPITAL so unless you have done (which I doubt) or have ever seen these individuals work then shut up!!!

That's right! The CNA's do the hands-on dirty work. They are the ones who do the lifting, turning, bathing, etc. Not that LPN's and RN's don't work, but seriously, CNA's have a truly tough job for the lowest amount of money.(My mom is a CNA. and doesn't make close to $13.00.)

I disagree the cna's nurses, administration none of them does a damn thing that why they need to close the doors.
