This is so sad as it is a wonderful camp with a wonderful staff, both my boys have been there as campers and counselors. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the boy who lost his life.

So, so sad. I have nephews that have been campers and counselors there. It is a beautiful place. So sad that the beauty will be marred by this tragedy.

I was also at the camp this morning when the fire broke out. I must say the staff did an excellant job of passing word around and making sure everyone was aware of what was happening and what we should be doing! The matter was handle in a very professional manner! I would like to thank the staff for a job well done. This should show everyone what a great program this is for our boys. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the staff and friends of this young man who lost his life this morning as well as his family.

We are all so sorry to hear about this tragedy. The staff at Camp Shenandoah is tremendous and I have heard positive remarks on how they handled this with the young Scouts who were there. Our sincere condolences go out to the family of this wonderful young man. We were so proud of him at camp just recently. May the Lord be with you and comfort you.

I was at Camp Shenandoah with my Webelos, one of whom is my son. I echo others comments about the staff and how they handled the situation which was very professional. The Webelos themselves were never in any real danger as their tents were a considerable distance from the blaze. One note to keep in mind, we were not told about the fatality before the camp was closed. While adult leaders could tell on Friday AM that there was more to the situation then just the building fire, the boys probably did not figure this out. So many of the young scouts may not be aware of this part of the tragedy. I know my son is not. Be careful when discussing the tragedy in front of boys who were there as they may not have heard about this aspect yet, and it is likely someone they knew at Camp. Camp Shenandoah is a great place and I hope they will be able to recover from this tragic event. Please support them and the B.S.A. as they are a great organization and offer so much to our boys.

I am a former staff member from the Camp, and I had a chance during the time I was there to get to know the young man who died in the fire. He was a wonderful person with a kind heart. My heart and my thoughts go out to his family and loved ones, its never easy to lose someone. He was a good friend, an intelligent student, and a dedicated scout. I have no doubts that Camp Shen will go on, and that his memory will always be a part of it.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Cancer

You may not be privy to every little thing that's going on around you, but so what? Crabs can't always be in control, but you don't need to feel insecure, either. Thanks to your electronic devices, you appear to be a little godlike to those who don't have the same access as you do at the moment. Just make sure that you memorise the important stuff in case the system goes down.
