Father, son killed in Montebello shooting

Montebello is getting to be an awfully dangerouse place to live.

This is too tragic beyond words. To lose two family members, especially a young boy, in this manner is hard to comprehend and even harder to make sense of. I hope the catch the coward(s) responsible for this soon.

The gang culture is handed down from generation to generation - babies born to stupid females who actually screw gang bangers should have their infants removed the day they are born - that is the only way to stop the cycle

i was scared i was so scared i was VERY close to the shooting i knew them they r cool neighbors.

Stupid people should be spayed or at least have thier fingers removed so they can't type ignorant comments. These people who hosted the party for their blind daughter, to celebrate her graduation from high school are not gang related in any way. They are devoted to their daughter and have done a great job raising her to overcome her disability. This is a tragedy that shouldn't have happened. But these are GOOD people.

why do people automatically assume all shootings are gang related? Other races know how to shoot a gun. There were no names even mentioned in the article so how do you come to the conclusion it was gang related?

Simple. Other races know hopt to aim a gun and hit the person they're aiming at, NOT INNOCENT BYSTANDERS.

I hope you aren't saying they deserved it...My nephew was not a gang member ,he was a little boy who loved skateboarding and video games...who lives in pinon hills.If you were not there don;t make hurtfil comments..especially when your are ignorant.

Death comes to us all; It is only a matter of WHEN, HOW, WHERE, and WHY.
I have always believed that before we ascend into this life that our Soul decides
how long we stay here. It could be for a year, it could be for 100+ years. For whatever our reason or purpose may be in this life there is one thing that we all have in common; and that is to learn lessons in this life. These lessons very from person to person, but I think the basis of it is to learn to overcome our negative emotions such as Hate or Fear. And to learn to Forgive and most important to LOVE...
Though I believe that we choose how long we stay in this life, we cant choose how we depart this life. But the one thing that bothers me and I find it hard to understand is how can a person take a life of another for no reason other than the thrill.
I do understand that a person must do what they need to do in
a defensive situation. Although I myself did serve in the military for a short time I still do not believe in senseless killing.
It is one thing if
you must take a life in order to save yours or someone else..s.
But to start shooting with no purpose and no regard for other peoples life including children;
Well I just cant seem to comprehend that.
Although this is something we read about on a almost daily basis, it is much different when it hits close to home,
and happens to the ones you know and love.....
Although I was not there my ex wife Marianna along with my kids were.
What started out as a beautiful Graduation party for Marianna..s blind cousin turned into a shooting spree by local gangs.
The outcome 2 dead
and 2 other injured. Luckily Marianna had to work today and had planned on leaving early.
But my soon to be 10 year old daughter Natalie wanted to stay
and was going to get a ride back with her uncle the next day.
Well for some odd reason my daughter Natalie had a weird feeling as if some unknown force was
beckoning her to go. So at last min when Marianna was getting ready to leave Natalie changed her mind and left with her mom.
I am ever so Grateful to whatever unknown force that got my daughter to leave...(Thank You Grandma Jessica)
But even though I am so grateful that my ex and kids are safe, I am ever so saddened by the other losses.
One in particular is a 12 year old boy
from Florida who was here visiting his Father. Both the boy and father were killed.
My friend and cousin who now is a hero in my
eyes picked up the boy and rushed him to the hospital; but it was too late. Upon hearing this tears came from my eyes.
Primo if you are reading this know that my heart aches for you and I am so proud for what you did.
If there were more of you in the world
it would be a better place.

Shootings are now out of control. These cowards amount to terrorists taking over cities and making them dangerous, and no one is taking any significant steps to address this problem. Lee Baca and his chronies should be fired.
