I can agree on restoring the city resveroir. God knows we need more water. As for everything else…Cort is a crackpot!!! We don't need a farmers market, we don't need to spend more city dollars on green, and we don't need coombiya sessions. The PG mayor has failed to give a plan to spur business downtown. Cort is hellbent on keeping the museum and library open at the expense of the police and fire services. This guy needs to go period. We don't need to become the people's republic of Santa Cruz, where nothing gets done!

Merge PG with Monterey be done with it....The duplication of services and staff will always keep PG financial challenged. They have no further growh area to expand...Landlocked...TAX, TAX, TAX can only go so far....The only reason other smaller Monterey cities are not strugling $$$ is beacause all the free land they got from the former Fort-Ord allowed them to increase tax base.

Well, I know the family that Susan Goldbeck's mother married into doesn't support the green movement all that much. Down in San Diego where they came from a relative of sorts has a driving job for an auto parts house, and they use that job as a reason for causing green-oriented politics. They even went so far as to invade a Cobra Car factory, and put electric motors into many of them. That's right! Electric motors in Cobras. That's a disgrace.
Why, they still use that relation to promote San Diego Democrat functions. Many times Maureen Steiner's gay crowd will invade the job of the relatives' and yell and scream many Democrat ideals. The bosses love it, they think it brings business. But it doesn't, and then the bosses get fired themselves.
When the relative tried to complain to the fed EEOC and the state DFEH, both offices moved! Then he found them and tried to complain again, but the offices moved again! They moved the whole office!
I, for one, don't like the Democrat ideals that are being used now. I don't like the methods they put through their gay marriages, and I don't like the way that they conduct their business. I've seen and heard about it.
And then Goldbeck's step-father died last December and they haven't even buried him yet! Isn't that illegal?
No, these are bad Democrats. Not good at all, bad.

I say, that's terrible! I certainly hope they didn't try that in PG! That'd be wrong.
The only thing worse than that is Bob Dole. Hey, they didn't have anything to do with the 1996 Republican Convention down there, did they? Was that some kind of retaliation or something? I hope not! All they got was the gay crowd, and Steiner's shown what a mess she's made of it.
Hopefully it's all over now.

Patriot Games wrote: Come to Carmel Indiana. Read the BLOGS on Carmel Indiana Topix, to see how a REAL TOWN is run, not all those losers in California. Really? Your town was next to one of the biggest military installations in your state? Ft. Ord was one of the major Army posts during Vietnam. Now Vietnam's over, and Ft. Ord's over, too. They're parceling out federal land to just about everyone, it seems. Now, the Goldbeck family claims to have had a Goldbeck who had his picture taken with Hitler. That's not Californian, is it? But Goldbeck got to work on the Ft. Ord issue. Is that good? Maybe your criticism is with Germany and not California. Actually, that could explain a lot of things.

Wow, I don't like that last one! How'd Goldbeck get elected with that kind of family history? Didn't the PGer's know about that when they voted for her? No, I don't like that one bit.
Are they from Orangevale? They employed Hartungs up there, and that's Goldbeck's mother's maiden name. That could explain that, too.
What's the tie-in with the logger Tree Topper Club? Was that from San Diego, too? They sure stirred up some water at a local lumber yard and the union that was there. The union had to pull up stakes and leave town. It came back ten years or so later, but had to get the sheriff's kid as head of the union. That's like Tammany Hall, isn't it? Did they do Tammany Hall things up there, too? Well, those tall lumberjacks didn't do them any good in San Diego, I know that for a fact! So much for the tall 'uns.
But they should bury the father-in-law. I mean, it's been over six months now. Respect for the departed and all, plus it's a little strange.

Alma, do you know what defamation is? It is the representation of a false fact that is injurious to one's business reputation. Stating falsley that someone has filed bankruptcy is defamatory. I have never filed bankruptcy. You have 24 hours to issue a retraction, delete this post, and notify the moderator to delete from cache pages. If not, I will file a lawsuit against you. Gigi Ebert

Well, anyway, back to Goldbeck.
They can take their Geman Catholic priests and put 'em back in the Rhine with their own kind. My opinion on it, anyway.
